      It won't work.
      ❌ Crown Fire at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit (800 degrees Celsius)? . . . Your little sprinkler will melt.
      ❌ Shrub fire with wind-driven embers? . . . They'll go up UNDER your eaves.
      The only sure solution is to build with ✔️utterly inflammable materials: concrete & metal.

      Mary Only work with your own rain water reservoir or something other water source and battery power. You would need to cut down the brush around the house

    Great idea. BUT, forest fires tend to make their own weather including tremendous winds. How will this sprinkler system work in high winds?

    • @MattSidor
      @MattSidor 6 років тому +8

      It's still better than doing nothing. Also, I'd assume you'd want to initiate the sprinkler system before the wildfire and its associated winds reached your property; by the time they did reach it, your rooftop and nearby lawns would be soaked with the water and fire retardant chemical.

      It’s better than nothing because during a wildfire fire fighters will see that he’s got a sprinkler system that is turned on so the firefighters will give that house less attention therefore freeing up more firefighters because their won’t be any firefighters or there might be just one firefighter saving that house meaning there’s more firefighters to save other houses in the neighbourhood so not only will this man most likely save his house but he will also be helping to save other houses as well

      This type of system is very vulnerable, it sprays way too high, which will be affected by the high winds that are created by wildfires. There are newly designed patents with special nozzles that are NOT nearly affected by the winds that were designed specifically to work in high winds, such as this system would be. Check out

    IF YOU HAVE HORSES (and you live in a dry climate), double-fence your property to create a "pasture" that is actually an alleyway circling your property. In a dry climate, the horses will turn this "pasture" to dust in short order; in winter, when grass wants to sprout there, the horses will churn the sprouting grass into the mud. (Creating such a "pasture" in chaparral would require heavy equipment.) The alley will also encourage the horses to move more, and thus they will get more exercise.

    Just put in a fire alarm system hook up an infrared camera to the system and then get sprinkler systems hook that up to the fire alarm panel and I then the fire comes in you’ll be safe by the sprinkler system in the fire alarm and also put a fire alarm outside to basically do whatever you want with the fire alarms but worn your neighbors if then the fire comes that all the Will continue to go off even if the fire has stopped and is gone away it will go off until has been silence

      If an insurance company got to the point where they think they need to pay for these, they would just deem your house uninsurable and drop your coverage.

      I bet that system will be cheap in a state with no forest fires. You know how America operates: the things that your livelihood depends on, are made unaffordable. I mean things like healthcare, housing, education etc. So if saving your house depends on these sprinklers, be sure to see then at ridiculous high prices. It is capitalism mate, that's the name of the game.
