Hey DB, man you are a great instructor! Your playing skills ain't shabby either 😉, but teaching wise I think you're the best! I've watched a bunch of online instructors and they don't get it like you do. You may allude to your experiences while teaching and that sets a tone, where as a lot of others let their ego hijack the lesson. It's probably how they play too. Instead of serving the music they serve themselves! I don't sense from you.
I was born a drummer and have 50+ years playing them. Of course I noodled with other instruments until a major accident and the Holy Spirit opened the door for me to connect seriously with the bass and I love it as much as the drums! Sometimes I think maybe I love it more! It's only been a couple of years since I got serious about the bass and first felt I could play it in a band and that's my goal.
Any way, I look forward to watching your videos past, present and I hope many more in the future! I wish I had learned it a long time ago. I guess in hindsight, God wanted me to keep focused on the drums to suit His plans. And now we're here!
