Hi love! I would get a strand from the extension and wrap it around the base of the ponytail, then secure it with Bobby Pins. This will make it more lightweight on the back and at the same time you secure it with the Bobby Pins. Get the piece of hair from behind the ponytail so it does not show in the front.
