It’s nice to see somebody do a detail with a real hot carpet extractor And not someone that calls himself a detailer and they just use the drill scrub brush and a spot carpet shampooer for dog P from Walmart lol
You can achieve the same with just a wet and dry vacuum, if you know what you are doing. All extractors are a waste of money. They all break easily and don't deliver what they promise. 🙃
Those small carpet cleaners actually do a very good job. They definitely take longer due to their small tank capacity. They are a great option for those just getting started in the detailing biz or weekend warriors / hobbyists / enthusiasts. A full blown extractor is nice to have, but not a must have as you can use portable carpet cleaners or a good wet dry vacuum with the right attachment(s). Just my .02
We used to detail with a bissell and then an aqua pro vac..now a mytee hp60 spyder..heated. I can tell you the aqua did amazing, we used hot water in it. Yes the tank is smaller but it did an awesome job. Bissell, did so so. Used hot water in that too. They all do fine, it’s mainly about time and size of tank tolerance. If you can be good with a smaller unit..great. Detailing is what you make of it. If you’re serious about doing this line of work, you will gradually work up to better extractors. Either way, the car is getting cleaned and the customer is happy as hell they didn’t have to do it themselves! Lol
What I like most about this video is the truth. Everyone watches these UA-cam detailers do a pass or two and it’s clean, not even close to a real shampoo. Might be two or twenty, you never know with the type of stain your working with. Reality at it’s finest.
Thanks for noticing that’s what I was trying to show with this video, almost 40 minutes of extracting and still have a carpet with stains and I have the best extractor and using strong cleaner. And this was just a little section in this minivan I have other videos I’m about to post of this van that is just almost impossible to get clean. Thanks for watching
You got 99% of those stains my dude. We all know some stains become permanent over time. You got all the dirt out and that’s what’s most important. That carpet is clean now! Plus my dude rockin the vans sk8 highs! 🤟🏼
Yea I have but sometimes like this area I was working it just takes lots of time just steady making passes to get it clean. More time the cleaner it gets
Try vacuuming out the chemical first before water extracting. In other words, spray, scrub, vacuum...then steam or water extract. I find this method gives a faster clean.
It’s nice seeing these but I’d enjoy watching where the anchor points are get cleaned by lifting them up that would be way more satisfying if you added that to a video so they can also get cleaned and not look dirty still
Not all the time I can because some stuff I have to extract for a really long time and I would just run all my memory up on my phone then wouldn’t be able to record different areas. Like this video says round 1, I had to go back over the area again. And like Matt said it’s not always goin to get clear.
He’s cleaning the fibers on all sides when he hits it with the drill brush. Keep in mind this guy is at work... his first priority is to get the job done efficiently. He is taking the time to record it and that’s a gift for everyone to be able to view it.
@@detailsmw5995 that just scrubs it. it’s not cleaning it or extracting from all directions. the agitation with a drill brush isn’t the same as extracting from different directions.

Thanks and that’s funny I been seeing that and don’t know how that’s possible to use that small machine to get anything done.

Super dirty
Gotta love the mytee..we love ours! Is that a heated unit?
Is there plain water in extractor or mixed with something?
Just hot water
Nice, what mytee system do you have?
Hp120
I love these long carpet extractions! have you tried steaming the stains before extracting them?

I will give it a try
Slowing down helps alot as well

When you realise it’s dark and you started at 9 am and you only done half the carpet area...
Seriously
Magnificent!
Thank you
The carpet in the seat hook area, that flap will come up to get cleaned good. There is also a dome dril brush to get down in that area to agitate it.
Can you show us the extraction until the water gets clear?
On some jobs the water won’t get 100% clear depending on the carpet type and amount of initial soiling.

Wishy would extract in triangles going up and down and different directions to move the fibers instead of just pulling the extractor back

I’m not sure what you mean by go in triangles I mean I know what a triangle is but I don’t understand.
And the drill brush pulls most of the dirt up
