Peace! It's been 19yrs since I was exposed to Ifa and my Godfather has long since transitioned. I still kept the remains of my popped eleke, idde and a protection belt he gave me. I was crowned Shango Orisha but events lead me to run from the path of priesthood.. I feel regretful for not learning more from him. Since then I have just feared imposters seeking money and to be honest, someone teaching different.. The way I've seen other traditions practice I couldn't tell if one was real or fake so I stayed away.. You gave much clarity to years of confusion.. I know the power was REAL but was puzzled on why my Baba"s process was different from Santeria and even some Yoruba practitioners. I just needed to share my appreciation to your presentation Ase'

As a son/olorisha of Elegba, I would LOVE AND APPRECIATE seeing a video by you dedicated on such a profound and mysterious Orisha like Esu/Elegba. I would love to learn more about Esu/Elegba in depth. I've seen the video where you speak of both esu AND elegba, and their differences , but I would love to see a video dedicated on Eleggua the way you made one here for Shango and the other video you did on Obatala

I know, I'm so late. An observation I saw in the Botanica, concerning Shango's candles. One is his color, which is white and red, and there is an Orange one with Chango Macho, what is the difference and why and how they came up with the latter?
Is there any book or publications that one can refer to or purchase to study these patakis to gain more knowledge of the "religion" or are they only passed down from word of mouth?

Chango has never negated any of his sons from becoming Babalawo. What ultimately stops a man from being a priest of Ifa are certain characteristics that he may have that aren’t compatible with Orunmila. Thanks for watching the channel!

No, within Ifa statues such as the one in the video are not consecrated. Usually they are made out of metal or wood and are more rustic in appearance.
