Thanks for the upload, Wubby. Mirage was my first booster purchase back in 97 or 98 that got me into playing Magic. I pulled an Urborg Panther, and I immediately went to purchase Breathstealer, Feral Shadow, and a Spirit of the Night. I still got them and play them to this day. Keep doing your thing and I'll keep watching. Peace.
@@hermodnitter3902 When I purchased that Spirit of the Night back in 97 or 98, it was worth about $50 - $80, maybe $100 ( I can't remember, but a pretty penny ), but today, I'm sure it's worthless. I'd say it's about $5.

a core memory I have as a kid was opening a box of Mirage with dad and brother back in the 90s. I remember at the time Hammer of Bogardan was the card we were chasing. Thanks for the vid!
Mirage was my first set. The artwork was baller at the time, and on top of that they would always have the 60 card boxes come with a instruction manual that would have Juzam Djinn. I didn't know it at the time but I always thought I could pull it. I mean this was pre-internet magic info and I lived in a rural area. I still want Juzam, but I can't hate on all the good artwork that came from this era.
MIRAGE!!! This was my introduction set to my mtg career..absolutely love the art, amd still have the LED after all this time..Love all these videos my guy..keep at it
I started playing when this set had first came out. I was playing with friends with unlimited forward but mirage was the first set I bought a start deck and really started playing/ buying my own cards. Remember my friends older brother had a binder with a few duals and a mox pearl and we all went ape shit lol. Used to stay up all night playing table top mosh mash then walk to the doughnut shop and wait for the card store next door to open. lol good times.
Permanents with phasing phase in and out at the beginning of your untap step, before you untap anything, so you end up untapping them too. This means that phasing in or out doesn't use the stack and can't be responded to, as you don't have priority during untap step.
I remember the main draw of phasing was figuring out a way to have all of your stuff phase out, do a board wipe, and then have all of your stuff phase in the next turn.

I can't remember when I actually started playing but it was as early as mirage in 1997 or maybe as late as 1999. Either way I had a ton of these cards because they were cheap and handed out by friends or in draft chaff bins etc. Nostalgic.
Bro, Mirage and Visions were two of my all-time favorite sets. I have so many damn mirage/visions cards, less Exodus, but man I have a ton of this. Edit: In fact, Exodus, the third of this set, was the first set to include colored rarity.
