Crusty looks like it’s been Sitting there a while but the Hot and Humid Georgia Summers aren’t too Nice with Outdoor Equipment. Prayers to NC, FL and GA. 🙏
Tell Lawn Care Co. to Plan Better because you’re Making a High Quality HVAC Video being Watched by Thousands of Arm Chair HVAC Techs. 😬👍
They don’t care.
Man, when I was watching this sequence 26:05 I felt like shouting, "Wedge a piece of wood or something behind it to keep it from popping out! Ya don't have 3 hands, fercrissakes!" But i bet you wish you did, sometimes!🤣
I personally never screw down the compressor until I get everything braised in first.
As always Curtis, nice job.
Bet you were glad to know the Blower motor was going out while you were there. Beats the heck out of having to go back.
If it isn't dogs barking or smoke detectors chirping it's landscapers doing their thing.
I think you attract lawnmowers and smoke detectors.
Those mowers ALWAYS following you around!! Lol!!! 🤣🤣
If you don't have a cracked inspection mirror, your not a good service tech lol
catches all angles!
@jthonn lol right!
Good Job! I would have used a SS quick release band clamp or a large Ty-Rap strap (with an insulator) to hold the suction pipe while brazing.
Decrease your recovery time by 60% place the recovery tank in a 5 gal bucket with ice water. Tap water will do if you don't have any ice.
Good job Curtis, You need a work stool or bucket to sit on, instead of jacking up your knees, and you can use some new work pants...........
Many times I've done some hacking and coughing when I'd be face to face with algae, mold and mildew.😵💫🤢
Why did you not fix that screw seriously. You're going to let something that little defeat you. You know the old saying a job worth doing is worth doing right even all the screws. Our family owned and operated body shop for 40 years how would you like it if I didn't put all the screws back in your car. No I never have I wouldn't think of it. Might scream my head off until I got them all right but I wouldn't leave a bolt out or screw out my OCD would push me off a cliff.
Hey drama queen what’s the name of your body shop I want to see the reviews mr perfect
I swear lawn companies have their people walk around with blowers for an hour just to make it seem like they are doing some work. There couldn't have possibly been that much concrete to blow off!
Those blowers are very OVERUSED. I see the advantages of them but they are not a do all option due to the dust and debris those guys put on the house and cars parked nearby.
At least you didn't have to crawl down inside this one.
I swear, no matter where I work.
The leaf blowers follow me
Way to stick with it and fix all issues yap the HVAC guy shows up so time to bring out the mowers 😅 think its a unwritten law
Doesn’t look like the inside has faired better than the outside of this house!! At least, they will be cool 🥶until Winter 👍
Come on Curtis 5-minute compressor, braze is taking you 20 minutes.
By the looks of the side of the house and that condenser unit, I’d say that is the north side of the house. The homeowner should really wash that down once a year with a bleach wash.
I pass homes all the time, bleach people bleach...
@@jthonn
I agree algae likes to grow where there’s the minimal amount of sun
You work hard on this one.I am glad years ago I went in appliance repair for sure after watching all that went into this one.Nice Job!
Thanks 👍
So no need for a nitrogen purge when you were brazing the replacement drier? You brazed the tube with it laying on its side no where any nitrogen.
So, is it really that huge a deal if it is used or did you show a mistake????
Not a mistake. Necessary
Those clips are hard to squeeze thought maybe it was just me 😂
you shouldn't ever leave liquid refrigerant in your hoses/gauges/between closed valves, it can over pressure and damage/explode them when heated by the sun.
(Sponsored by diet Pepsi! ) watching some of your videos that pop up in random order makes me think you need drill bits for pilot holes when attaching capacitors.
That was a long job Curtis, at least it was all accesable outside. BTW, this was a super sharp video today, that is good camera quality 👍 Au
Thanks
Who paid for all that,,?
Warranty
You need to buy a cross pein hammer
Great job Curtis getting the old girl cooling again thanks for the video
You bet
Excellent work curtis 👍💪
Thanks
Curtis I really enjoyed your videos , you always do a great job. Not always comment on your videos but today I have seen a lot experts commenting from moms basement. Please don’t pay attention to those engineers wanna be . Mr Curtis please keep up the good work
Thanks
Great job Curtis. Another one in the books.
Thanks
Might be new forms of life growing on that thing.
Crusty on the outside, cool on the inside.
Compressor and a fan motor, nice work.
Thanks 👍
👍
Overall, great job but the top screw that holds the blower cage in. You didn’t get it in all the way, you should’ve backed it out with a hand tool and put it back in. You’ve only got one screw holding that blower cage in. That’s a huge disappointment and unprofessional just because you couldn’t get it in with your battery drill.
Thanks , outstanding
Most welcome
25:35, I hate when that happens!
through a manifold, with all of those fittings and ball valves on your hoses, its very difficult to get a good deep vacuum, i have had the best luck with a single hose pull, with my vacuum gauge on a core depressor on the LL port
Non-Video related but please be safe out there Curtis. I heard it was a chemical fire in a plant Conyers Georgia. I’m in Chattanooga so that’s why I heard about it.
Question sir not a troller lol just for my info. Are you supposed to change out the tv when doing the compressor.
You are either brave or agile, id have spilled the drink and filled the heat compound with dirt just moving to the other side!
if God Wanted us to have metrics he would have had 10 disiples.
I guess where you come from everyone has 11 toes.
@@richardbartlett6932no, has to be 8 or 16.
Did they get that unit off the roof of a shopping mall? What kind of unit is that called
Job well done 👏
Thanks
I hate the fact that you tell people that you are warranty the system and then you charge them for replacement labor and extra parts so a compressor and fan is about 3k to change out minus the cost of the cheapest fan and compressor you can find does that about cover it? even if it breaks down in the first 90 days you still charge a bunch of labor to fix it so where is the warranty there ain’t no warranty at all in my opinion it’s a total scam this Non warranty after paying 10k to install new A/C to here to pay again for a repair that should be covered by the manufacturer for there inferior product!! plus you should have seen that the fan was not working properly to begin with because that compressor had nothing to do with the fan itself not after the fact maybe give him a little break on the fan install the fan is freebee so it’s only elbow grease on and off?
Buying the extended labor warranty on a A/C to match parts is about the only one that's worth it. Any other extended warranty, nope.
Open your own shop and work for free you won’t be in business very long.
@@pilotboba there a problem with that they almost always say that its life cycle end and not covered or put any used A/C system in to comply with the contract barely then it fall apart again and they blow you off then you are out thousands could have bought at least two or more out side units for the price of all that mess not saying curtis would do this but I have seen and dealt with techs that do business like this not fair practice
Curtis said this was all covered by the manufacturers warranty. Not the labor of course but that is how the HVAC industry does it. The parts on this job looked to be all OEM at no charge.
Where did you see him talk to the customer?
