- A new form of Creatine is 8 times more effective than the original form. It’s called CreGAAtine.
In today’s video, the last in a series of interviews with Lucas Aoun, a UA-camr from down under with a channel called “Boost Your Biology,” we’ll be going over this new form of creatine and covering its benefits, dosing, and cost.

💎Thanks for having me on the show again Lance, it was a pleasure chatting about the future of supplementation.
You're more than welcome, Lucas. It's been a pleasure.
Love, this series! Thank you both!
Lance. I really like your channel. You seem to be straight to the point, and I like that. I'm always skeptical of someone who spends time to detail a health product's limitations that they also happen to have a solution for. I'm not saying that your guest is incorrect in his claims. I'm just saying that I am highly skeptical.
It's difficult to believe that this form is, somehow,' 'more stable' when it is only available in individual 'sachets' as a form of preservative, which seems contradictory. I also noticed that the cost issue was skirted. I poked around and on Amazon this new form is available at the cost of $26.10, which is $6.17/ ounce. This is for 60 sachets. BTW, it's recommended that you use 2 sachets per day for the recommended dose. So, that's a one month supply. I've also noticed similar 'stability' claims have been made around other supplements to justify single use and increased cost. Those 'stability' claims were later debunked. I'm skeptical, to say the least.
Have you ever opened a box of creatine and noticed that it changed granulation after a while 🤔 I did... certanly a better solution in sachets as it is single use and triplex folia protected... no air and humidity coming in... and it is super practical because its portable 👌🏼🤝
@@nemanjamilovic8926 Are you working for this company? No. I have never had that experience with creatine. Single sachets are not a 'better solution.' It's wasteful additional packaging, so Not practical. This careful packaging tells me there is the same potential issue....especially when you have to use two packages for a single dose. There are multiple issues here. I won't be wasting my money.
I also noticed him skirting the cost; this seems shady.
My question is: How is the manufacture of CreGAAtine more expensive than the production of Creatine Monohydrate. Where are the studies?
My wife and I eat SARDINES for Creatine.😊
thanks Lance
You're welcome.
Took creative before workouts for over a year a year. Could not tell it did anything. Stopped because it raised DHT some people report hair loss.
I have taken all kinds of supplements and very few of them do much of anything with the exception of two, one was Glucosamine and the second was Creatine. As a weight lifter Creatine would up my bench press by 30 lbs. I cycled this stuff for years and every time I cycled it I would see these results. Plus it would also put 10 pounds of body weight on without adding fat.
The down side of Creatine is diarrhea and gas, it can and does cause this side effect if taking enough to see benefits.
ok, ok...
So it actually caused you to gain weight or were you trying to?
@@seaspray9144 You really have no choice, it drives water into the muscle along with all the benefits.
People say they can see it in their muscle appearance, I never could see that, but I was pretty big so maybe that's why? (I had 10% body fat)...
Try this form ( CreGAAtine )... had the same problem with creatine... and solved it with CreGAAtine 🤷♂️
@@nemanjamilovic8926 ok, ok..
Does it give you faster metabolism and more muscle mass
Even if I am not intressted in cregaatine, it would be good to include the studys on creatine degeneration here.
Besides, I won't take it because of 2 reasons:
1) The mtor regulation process seems to be not as well understood as it should be.
2) as a 44yo female with 42% total muscle mass, .. Why should I take it? I do not need more muscles or better regeneration. Both is as perfect as i was 20. I am waiting for more robust studys on brain health and mtor.
Or in other words: i dont relay on pilot studies for my supplementation. 14 healthy men isn't an argument for me.
Since creatine is stored in the muscle any kind of cycle would be pretty long term, like one or two weeks, if you are trying to get back to baseline before starting again. It is unclear to me how this long cycle would be beneficial to brain function since my guess is levels in the brain will drop long before it is cleared from the muscle. Even from a longevity standpoint based on suppressing excessive MTOR the length of creatine sequestering in the muscle makes it really unclear what sort of cycle might be optimum and I don't think anyone has yet studied the effects of creatine on MTOR metabolism for optimization, not even in mice. In any case I'll stick with the proven creatine monohydrate until more evidence for this new form comes along. Many studies over the years have documented its benefits.
So how is it, in the end? Is it really one of the best supplements for longevity? From the discussion I gather it's kind of the other way around
Great question! Yes, I'm firmly in the camp that creatine is a supplement that improves longevity. First, it's an important nootropic and can improve cognition. Second, it can help a lot with staving off sarcopenia. While it may be pro-mTOR, if you've followed my channel for a while you'll know that I believe that a little mTOR can be a good thing. Especially in the fight against sarcopenia. I believe in balancing between activation of AMPK and mTOR, not in the total suppression of mTOR. So, personally, I cycle between catabolic and anabolic states, between activating autophagy and building muscle.
Not available in US? Also, lost me when you said most users are men. Lol
Honestly, creatine is as beneficial for women as it is for men. But most of the people taking creatine are male bodybuilders. Those of us who take it for it's longevity and cognitive benefits are sadly in the minority.
How long are your anabolic/autophagy cycles?
Good question, they vary. But, on average, about 3 weeks of anabolic & 1 week of catabolic. So, I work out and eat well, including high protein for 3 weeks, and then I do between 3 & 7 days of fasting. During the fasting phase, I take more spermadine & that's when I do my monthly regimen of rapamycin.
it's so misleading it's not even funny. they're comparing 1g creatine monohydrate + 1g GAA versus 1g "creGAAtine"...no one takes 1g of creatine monohydrate, and you would need to take 5 sachets of creGAAtine which is absurd
Noup, they are comparing substance for substance so 2g of CM vs 1g of CM + 1g GAA, so that's seems to be fair... as I know, recommended dose for CreGAAtine is 2 sachets, so 4g... which is fairly ok, and if we include that is more potent because of sinergestic effect as the study is shown ( couple of studies did, so far none of studies showed that it isn't 🤷♂️ ) it should be given a chance 🤝 I certanly did, and been using it for past 2 years, wonderfull for the brain 👌🏼🧠
@@nemanjamilovic8926 just to be clear, using sub clinical creatine mono hydrate dosage is a useless benchmark (aka 1g). Perhaps a useful study would be creatine concentration in serum/tissue at 5g doses. Nonetheless, you would need to take more than 1 sachet of creGAAtine to compare with 5g of monohydrate.
Hope that clears it up
Not sure that I agree. First off, in the studies, they're comparing equal amounts, so those results would scale...be the same for larger amounts. While it's true that no-one takes 1 gram of creatine monohydrate, the recommended dose is 2 sachets, which contain 1 gram of GAA & 1 gram of creatine each. If it's 8X more effective, which the studies seem to substantiate, that would be the same as taking 16 G of creatine.
@@LanceHitchings it’s not though, because there’s a ceiling on creatine concentration which is why there’s diminishing returns above 5g…
I agree creatine monohydrate hydroscopic the word is hydro philic he cant do biochem f stop. Carnitine is very hydrophilic but it doesnt matter at all its oxidation that matters rubbish .
Love your show but this guy would've done much better without lying unnecessarily at about 5:00. "Creatine monohydrate is very stable in powder form, showing no signs of degradation to creatinine over years, even at elevated temperatures."
Actually, I've done some research on the degradation of creatine, and that's not what I've found. While creatine monohydrate is a very stable compound, it can certainly degrade, especially if stored improperly. A change in color or a change in the granulation (clumping) are signs of degradation. Also, being non-responsive to creatine is another sign of possible degradation.
@@LanceHitchingsCitation desperately needed here, because this sounds like total BS
@@jontpt How is this BS. Look into the research.
@@BoostYourBiology I did, and this is contrary to everything I've seen
The word "lying" implies that you think he knows what he's saying is not true, yet saying it anyway. If you're going to accuse him of such a thing, at the very least provide a proof of some sort that it's not true (degradation of certain compounds can occur without you being able to see or smell any difference), and even better - also explain why you accuse him of intentionally saying false things.
Interesting stuff. If it uses GABA receptors to enter cells, will it compete with GABA for receptor binding? If yes, will it reduce GABA signaling and what are the effects of this?
It does not down regulate GABA receptors.
@@BoostYourBiology is there any contraindication if you're taking a something like Lyrica?
