I haven’t been to a hospital in Bulgaria, but went to a general practitioner a few times by myself and with my daughter. In my experience getting an appointment was hard, and even when you have an appointment you still have to queue. Once I waited in a queue for hours just to get a simple prescription. But the medical staff is nice, friendly and helpful, and their services cost almost nothing (I have to pay as I don’t have a residency yet)
It is definitely easier for me than for my husband who is a native English speaker:) However, I’ve been studying regularly for over a year, and my Bulgarian is still not that great
