I really wish this was my reading. My so-called soulmate is a married, bi-polar, sex addicted alcholic father of a 14 year old son via a baby mama who only communicates with me via text as if he is calling Dial a Ho and thinks it's a great idea to make ME the third party. Thanks, Spirit. I really appreciate the garbage fire you dumped on my door step. I'm 62 and have been waiting my entire life for MY soulmate. Patiently waiting for someone who would stick around longer than 8 months and not cheat on me before unceremoniously leaving. Waiting for my turn to love and be truly loved for me. I'm done with romance and love. It's a frigging joke. I’m so sorry to read all of this - I’m 40, so not quite the same, but been alone now for going on 5 years, so I understand the incredible solitude that waiting on “your match” creates. I wish I had better advice, but all I can say from my own personal experience is to feed that love back into yourself (I know, that gets to be supremely annoying to not only do but to hear). Do your best to exist in the timeline you choose to, even before it happens, if that makes sense. You’ll get through this, this too shall pass. If you ever need a friend, feel free to reach out. I had accepted that romantic love probably wasn't in the cards for me, and then I met this person. My last actual relationship was 25 years ago and i haven't even been approached by anyone in the past 12 years. I can't describe the depth of my disappointment.
I feel like the rug has been pulled out from under me and that this is all just a cruel joke. And I can't stop crying. I've always been able to heal and move on in the past. This time it feels like my soul has been utterly shattered. BTW, my name is also Shannon.

I apologize as I’m just now seeing this (4 weeks later - I realized how to sort by messages that have other replies on them, not just ones I’ve replied to) I felt it important to respond to this as I’m in the same boat my friend.
I’ve been alone now for over half a decade, and sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve the isolation. I can say I’m a stronger person for it, but I do understand how incredibly hard it is (especially for me while my child is at my exes house half the time, those weeks are the hardest)
Don’t have much advice, but I just wanted you to know you’re not alone. There are lots of us out here. I don’t even have any real “friends” - socializing has always been very difficult for me but coming from the 80’s, they just deemed us “weird” and never gave us any real help for situations like that. I’ve accepted it. But now you know why I love all my subscribers (I dislike that word, I’d rather say my friends here on UA-cam) - you guys truly bring joy to my life!! I hope you’re doing well, and again, I apologize for the incredibly late response!!
