He's clearly someone who knows what he's doing and knows what he wants out of his collaborators, but however, he has the narcissism that's prominent in a lot of 'avant-garde' or even experimental contemporaries that in a sense devalues his work. People say, don't connect the art to the artist, which is something so stupid to me. The two aren't parallel, they're deeply connected, and even if I enjoyed and even loved the vision that was Liberte, I still absolutely disagree with this director, and this makes me think twice about the film.
no people say separate the man from the artist. Not "don't connect the art to the artist" this makes no sense. Serra's attitude only devalutes his work to you. I don't care.
what an awful human being! He is so petty, arrogant and self-intitled. Zero respect for his actors and collaborators. Liberté is probably the most shallow film I've seen. I went here to see if it was if maybe it wasn't shallow at all and see what the director had to say. Basically, no thought went into it, other than "cameras can zoom". What a joke.
THIS MAN IS A LEGEND
I don't understand why everyone is being so negative on these comments! he's a genius!
@@thedahammel869 😂 for real
i love him so much
wow...the camera zooms.......genius indeed
I use opera-glasses at the opera. You?

@@collbair Ok, but this is also subjectivity we are talking of.
"Narcissism devalues the work" is probably the stupidest comment ever.

Zoom
A funny little film, with a horrible atmosphere.
If you don't start laughing.
