Cyclops in the comics was awesome until the 2000's. I have and read every X-Men comic from original issue until then and he was one of the most engaging characters for me. Scott was a man who always felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders as leader of the X-Men and took his responsibilities very seriously. And his back story is powerful and moving.
In marvel united as you make it more difficult you take out the wilds. The hardest level has no wilds...which also makes your player powers much more impactful. Thanks for the great play through. I'm very excited about this new content!
1:23:00 ‘Marvel Time’ was created approx 1968 during one of company’s earliest sales as a way of slowing down changes in the universe to accommodate outside licensing of characters. I think 1968 to early 2000’s is something like 14 years of Marvel Time
Greetings from the Future! Gambit and Rogue were included in the Blue Team expansion box. Colossus was included in the Gold Team expansion box. Deadpool got his own box with Hero and Villain pieces as well as a unique Challenge. Nightcrawler was included in the Stretch goals. They saved him until literally the last day of the campaign for maximum last stretch power and people were threatening to mutiny if he didn't show up soon. They actually had to scramble to come up with at least five more characters after him with how fast he was unlocked.
Love accessories, it really makes the experience better! We somtimes use guacamole bowls for an alternative to component bowls. Can even be more thematic for something like Villainous or Harry Potter.
50:20- Civilian should have been added to the space station (not asteroid M)- which after the thug was added would have overflowed, flipping the civilians there and at Xavier institute. -technically, also Mastermind should have bammed, though that wouldn't have effected anything since there were no civilians in Storm's or Cyclops's locations. 1:08:00- Bam should have also triggered for Scarlet Witch who would have removed a card from Storm's hand from the game. I didn't see any other mistakes that didn't get fixed.
1 Question only ...for Tom, Zee, or anyone is it only my party of friends? but for example we would never play this without background Xmen Music, or Back tonthe Future without Background music, or Star Wars without continuous SW music, etc... Im surprised Tom and them are the best at this .....but do they play with thematic background music??????
Strange that CMON are calling the purple characters Anti Heroes., when AH are characters like Wolverine ... Magneto is actually an Anti Villain., as he’s a villain with Noble goals..
Why wasn’t the henchmen bams effect when Tom bammed mastermind and scarlet witch should have been smashing the hero’s too have the changed that rule?the guys spent about four bams on there space and you did nothing
Cyclops wasn't always an obnoxious jerk. If you count alternate versions. AoA cyclops was actually OK, despite working for the bad guys. But 616 Cyclops has always been an obnoxious jerk.
I love Marvel United- but I feel like the X-Men-Heroes are a bit overpowered. They have more abilities, some start with their strongest abilities in hand and it seems, as if they got less one-symbol-cards. Do you think they are balanced?
I have a question about the 5 player mode. Did they add a 5 player mode for the versus the villain deck or is that 5 player mode you guys were talking about the one were one person can play as the villain? If they did add a 5 player mode to the normal mode... does it specify if the Marvel United previous version can be adapted to this many players too?
They can if they have this set. From what I gather (and I may have misunderstood), you use the SUPER HERO and SUPER VILLAIN cards from this set when someone plays as the villain in any Marvel United game.
@@azrealle9474 I’ve been looking into it more I think they stuffed it up your not supposed to play as magneto when he is a villain. But You can play as magneto as a hero cause he comes with a player/hero deck. @@carpetsnake83 incorrect. The newly released rule book clearly has rules for playing as villains and says they will be retroactively adding those rules to most previously released villains (the rule book seemed to be hedging on whether or not all will work, though I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t work).

@@carpetsnake83 there are the new hero and villain cards that give everyone (especially the person playing the villain) more options, though I agree that they are probably not strictly necessary. It is a new feature that they added some mechanics for, but I do agree that it doesn’t seem that difficult to jury rig.
Marvel United looks like a fun, light co-op (or 1-v-Many); but the minis are so pointless. It's a shame the minis aren't paired with a game that'd actually make use of them.
That’s exactly what makes them fun to paint. So many modern minis have waaaay too much needless detail that just takes ages to paint. Nice clean large surfaces are heaven for miniature painting
Under Tom's guidance, Magneto now has the battle cry of "Hello Dolly hoo hoo hoo!"

Excellent list of accessories!! Card sleeves are something i would add. Game bags are next on my list to purchase. Thanks.
Yeah... I'd add sleeves too, but they are definitely conditional as to when to use them. :-)
Card sleeves we’re most definitely our number 11 lol! We have really been liking the Gamegenic Matte Ones

It's ironic that Tom mentions Nightcrawler.
I haven't seen Nightcrawler in the Marvel United X-Men kickstarter.
Is CMON saving him for an expansion?
I’m with Tom. The lengths on some of these turns are booooooonkers long.
Where did you get (or how did you make) the vinyl stickers for each game that you put on the front of the clear 5x7 organizer boxes?
