I grew up in Hull in the 90s and I knew a few people like Combo. They're your mate but they're unpredictable and always on edge which makes them dangerous.
The series that followed are at least as good as the movie. The acting, impact, drama.. masterfully done. The fact that most people can relate to one or more of the used themes makes it organic, scary and confrontational.
@@aaronstark5060the series are far superior to.the film , they are like the film ramped up to 100...you really need to get a VPN and watch them...u won't be disappointed..the rape of lol storyline is harrowing. Lol ending up with the black lad is great storyline too..forgot his name , sorry
Some great talent from the workshops..when I was little lad of 11-12 we had drama lessons and I was really good , gained confidence to act in front of peep etc... Came to the 3rd year where we chose our lessons and find that drama is not on the curriculum. I protested and was told there's not enough interested in it..I got a lot of kids to sign a petition saying they wanted to do it.. still it was refused and right there my acting career died..we lived in middle of nowhere with nothing to encourage such things. I ended up a drug user.
Stephan Graham is a convincing actor if I met him in real life I’d shit myself after seeing TIE 83 Behind the scenes he seems like a nice guy you can get a laugh from
Thanks for uploading mate, I love that the film was all improv, bloody brilliant. From watching the bts I never seen much lighting, and multiple cameras on each scene l. Just wondering if that was the case throughout the film? I love the grittyness of it.
Nah ! Your thinking about rude boys ! ………..In the late 70’s / early 80’s Skinheads were all about punk & Oi! music, football hooliganism and Paki bashing ! If you were there you would know how it was ! Reggae was finished by 1969 /70

The fact that woodie and lol can act so convincingly as 80s skins while dressed like they’re in s club 7 is astonishing
yeah, they defintely copied s club 7, not the other way around, lol /s
S club seven came out over a decade before skins lol@@maxington26
Sir Stephen graham got a good ring to it. Brilliant actor.
What a character combo was brilliant actor
Even out of costume Stephen carries Combo perfectly. Amazing talent.

I really want to see the series, but I’m in the US and it’s not available on Region1 DVD. I don’t have a region free player.
@@aaronstark5060It’s on All 4 if you can find that.
@@aaronstark5060 Sorry about that. If you get the chance, all three series are amazing (though the last especially is really hard watching).

Young Tommy Turgoose talking at the end “fuck that” “fuckin ‘ell” lmfao quality!
Superb drama , incredible performances from the whole cast , very impressive.
I’m assuming there’s going to be a “This Is England 2020” - it writes itself really

Ill bet a kot of those gay bashers are not out of the closest themselves
There us no such thing as a gay skinhead

They didn’t solely come from mods though, movement’s don’t tend to have just one origin. What Shane said wasn’t incorrect at all.
