Hey Tim, big fan here from the Philippines, why are you so fluent in speaking Spanish? They're basically the same words here in PI except maybe for the spelling. You pronounce them like you're Pinoy hahaha, words like "mercado, sapatos, banyo etc" it feels like PI. I guess being colonized by Spain isn't all that bad lol. Take care man!
This video recalls my old day there.I spent my 1 year stay at Guatemala City when I was an exchange AFS student over 20 years ago.Recordé mi buena estadía en la ciudad de Guatemala
Lol... Greetings from Georgia. I’ve got friends in Zona 6. Your Spanish pronunciation is acceptable yet funny. It’s a good thing that you had a guide. Stay safe on your travels and thanks again for LA TERMINAL video.
Hopefully this video will go viral! People will love the authentic markets and REAL immersion in the culture. Have a safe flight and see you in the islands!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.. IT'S GREAT!! I ALSO DID CONTACT ANDY TO SEE IF THEY CAN GIVE MY WIFE AND I A TOUR WHEN WE GET THERE IN OCTOBER OFF THE CRUISE SHIP!!
Great video Tim. Keep in mind, they may be wearing a seahawks cap or mets shirt but most likely they are not fans. It’s just something they’re wearing.
Mango here in Alabama are about $2.50 each.so that was a good price for those big mangos. If you find a street vendor or restaurant ask for caldo de pollo or caldo de res. Very good soup with fresh vegetables and meat. And also try pollo con mole.( moe-Lee)
Great series of South America Tim, I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next installment. Checked you instagram, you have some epic photos on there. All the best bro .
Your new friend and guide is a smart young man who is always striving to show you interesting things... Hi Tim, great videos, enjoying every one of them, keep up the good work, quick question, are you using a Sony, and which model and what video setting is it on. Also it my help if you use a tiny bit of foam on the mic, to help with the wind noise.
Loved this video Tim, the market was amazing i am definitely adding Guatemala to my bucket list. Africa next stop you are living the dream Big Man, Safe Travel and happy times.
Red banana (purple) is morado in PH is not as sweet as the small variety tundan (yellow) The market is similar in arrangement of fruits, vegetables, dry goods to Davao City Bankerohan market Excellent guide Josh or Josue Thanks, Timmy, for market immersion
The red bananas i tried are usually more sweet than a regular consumer chiquita bananas, when i get the chance to buy red imported bananas in Denmark. In Thailand atm, and there they have some really small yellow bananas which are really sweet. They Are great for a bananas roti with Nutella :) hopefully i get to Philippines some day cause Tim and harolds videos showed a lot of Nice places.
Tim k, u should go to Mexico City. El Mercado de a basto. The Grand central market. That place is lake a small city. I think the work force is about 10,000 or more. And there are hundreds of restaurants. God bless you where ever are.
Here in Arizona it’s usually $0.65-$1 and if you go to the Mexican Supermarkets they’re usually around $0.30 each. Super good deal! 😌 ***forgot to add I’m talking about the mangoes if you didn’t watch all the video yet 😉
Marianne A.~ omg yesss! I’m so jealous. I watch a ton of tropical fruit growers on here. Most of them are all in Florida. I see that and Loquats. They don’t even sell Loquats here, but they sure look good! Definitely jealous... wish I can just walk out and grab some good fruit off the trees 😭
Maybe you are Notorious B.I.G. incarnate ???? or maybe Biggie Tim either way you are compassionate in your interactions with locals and always smiling, that's when the locals see you are a genuine person who appreciates them and life. Keep spreading your kindness and yes another good video :)

FYI: There are flour tortillas in other Guatemalan regions, for example, Izabal, they make huge flour tortillas with coconut milk. They taste amazing.
Tim you have a great sense of humor great personality love seeing you travel around the world😎
This was a pretty cool video. Seeing all the different sections of a Guatemalan market shows what people consume normally everyday.

I love the markets in Guatemala. They all have some many colorful things to see. I'm glad to see I'm not the only gringo to visit them. LOL.
How do they sell all those piles of fruits/veggies before they spoil?
Do they give the spoiled food to the farmers for their animals feed?
I liked the market and people are very friendly👍👍👍
