- Purchased this 5w Fluorescent emergency bulk head from ebay for lass than £3. So lets take a look, its a make i am not familiar with. Anyone herd of these Borja lighting. Please post comments etc in the comment section below. let get straight into the vid!
I've also got a non-maintained emergency light on order from eBay. A good way to tell the age of the bulkhead is to check whether the LED charging indicator is either red or green; if it's a red LED then the light will predate the mid-2000s, whereas a green LED will be anywhere from the mid to late 2000s or later/present day.
I also have a non-maintained emergency light that's already been mounted up and installed inside of my shed. It exceeded well over the 3 hour battery life and the tube has lasted up to 7 hours before completely extinguishing! Just as a rule of thumb though, the 3 hour mark that's put onto these emergency lights is the *minimum* amount of time that the tube should stay lit, so most new emergency light batteries should exceed well over the 3 hour mark, especially after a couple of re-charge and full discharge cycles.
2 mins old watching this video. Brilliant video Jaye I used to change them at my job in a care complex change the tubes as they were burning 24 7 encase of power failure. They would be lit. Our something similar to them.
Thanks again, I have a couple more like this, not the same make though in my house too, Working great after a few years, only had to change the tube in one once. Not herd of the Borja though before
