*This was fabulous. I loved seeing Art Carney playing a regular guy...and Jackie?*
*I believe this was how he truly felt about himself. Loved this. Anyone who loved*
*the Honeymooners will absolutely love this!*
*Thank you PizzaFlix I had no idea this was even made.* 💖
America had won WWII, and the country was enjoying the spoils of war. These two guys helped everybody heal. I was 4 when this was made. I cracked a beer and opened a bag of pretzels. Bring it on!
Atta boy 🥂
I'm with you . When I was 4 my parents let me drink beer and eat pretzels too . 😂
There will never be another Jackie Gleason or Art Carney. I've always enjoyed each independently as well as a team. Thanks for the program PizzaFlix. And away we go.
Happy Friday everyone! ❤
First chunk brings to mind that scene in Annie Hall where Alvy Singer is trying to sell material to a hackneyed holiday resort comedian.
What other entertainer holds a title like "The Great One"?!
What i admire most about Gleason is his musicianship. That man could orchestrate strings and horns like nobody's business!
Thank you for this birthday gift! 🥰
Many Returns of the Day, my fellow Cancerian!
Oh thank you same to you! 🦀 ❤
Happy Birthday!
Thank you! Stay happy 🥰
This was great! Initially I thought it would take me a little while to not see Jackie Gleason and Art Carney as their classic characters but both of them are such excellent actors that it was not difficult at all. The story and acting was really impressive. Thanks for posting this surprise gem.
I was a kid when I watched "The Honeymooners" and I loved it.
LOOKS LIKE THE HONEYMOONERS SET WITH A CURTAIN OVER THE WALL.
i've never seen Marian Seldes so young before.
She really didn't change much.
Hey hey Ralphie boy
Tried to join the Secret Service and they told me no you’re already in cause you’re crazy enough and I still don’t believe that ever actually happened either so 🙄
Late in Jackie's life he said that he worked with no finer actor than Art Carney..
So nice to see something light this evening! Thanks!
A heart felt film. thanks PF really enjoyable.
Oh wow! I've never seen this, wow!!
A WONDERFUL pre Honeymooners show ,,,please if you find any more acts of Carney and Gleason such as this ...please post them ...a BIG THANK YOU ...made my firdsay night and may your sauce always be with you as well ...this was allot better than any Ragu !!!!
@43:25 What?! A dishwasher by Westinghouse that you can "Try Before You Buy!"
A personal introduction by The PG in propria persona, is what makes 7/16ths of these movies!! Sans them, each would be but only 9/16ths worth!!
Just my 2.0 cents-worth, speaking of it.
51:43 Great piece of music.
Ahhh. It was inserted for this upload. What music was originally played?
Jackie’s instrumental version of “Tenderly.” There was a copyright claim on it.
@@PizzaFLIX Hey Pizza. Thanks for introducing me to that great piece of music. It's now in my playlist. It fits right in with Dickie Harrell's Drivin' Round the Block.
@@kewrock Did you find the complete track? Here's a link to the composer's page for "rollin' at 5" : incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/music.html
Jackie Gleason stars as a rising tv comedian who sees a reflection of himself he doesn’t find funny! This television production of studio one co-stars art carney but don’t expect an episode of the honeymooners! No, I didn’t expect Gleason and carney to be Ralph kramden and ed Norton-their famous characters-but this was about two years before that show debuted-did you know he once subbed for William bendix in the life of Riley when the lead actor got ill -and he did great in it-when Gleason did his real life show-he opened it with the words -how sweet it is! -that was a good line-the movie was real good 😊 and it earned five stars ⭐️! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤
Hi Randy - the official showed debuted October 1, 1955; but "The Honeymooners" began on October 5, 1951 as a six-minute sketch on The Jackie Gleason show🍕
@@PizzaFLIX thank you for the information!

Does anyone know the title of that melancholic piece played between 7:44 - 8:01? I recognize it, but don't recall the name.
👍🏼
When was this made?
1953
Maybe it is found in the title above.
