This is great, but the ReCODE program I checked into in Sarasota, FL is $10K for a year and doesn't take insurance. What are average income folks supposed to do?
“Pan said she paid $4,000 to a doctor trained in Bredesen’s program for a consultation and a series of extensive laboratory tests, then was referred to another doctor, who devised a stringent regimen of dietary changes that entailed cutting out all sugars, eating a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet and adhering to a complex regimen of meditation, vigorous daily exercise and about a dozen nutritional supplements each day (at about $200 a month). Pan said she had extensive mold remediation done in her home after the Bredesen doctors told her the substance could be hurting her husband’s brain. But after two years passed, she said, her husband, Wayne, was steadily declining. To make matters worse, he had lost more than 60 pounds because he didn’t like the food on the diet. In April, he died.”
I have never felt so good since finding Functional Medicine. Changing what I eat has been KEY to the changes. It has been difficult, but overcoming Type 2 diabetes, Meziere's Syndrome, Cardiac disease, Hashimotos Disese of Thyroid, Cervical Spine surgery is worth the effort. Try it, you'll like it!
Dr. Hyman should have his own ABC show! He always stands firm on his scientific/medical beliefs and evidence. He wouldn't promote "quick fix" diets or the newest Hollywood fad. We need more truth.
For the info it provides Dr. Bredesen' s book is a bargain . It would be great if we had a national healthcare system that provided care for free. But in the meantime he is entitled to be paid for his work. Conventional docs may not be receptive. As Dr. Bredesen says patients have been told that doctors don't do nutrition, doctors don't have time to read etc etc... Unfortunately you may need to pay out of pocket. .
UCSF Memory Center: “It is disheartening that patients with dementia and their family members are targeted by practitioners and companies motivated by self-interest. Physicians have an ethical mandate to protect patients who may be vulnerable to promotion by these entities. More needs to be done on a national level to limit the claims of benefit for interventions that lack proven efficacy. Clinicians must distinguish testimony and cargo cult science from quality medical research and explain when interventions may appear to represent pseudomedicine. While unethical forces promote the existence of pseudomedicine, an educated community of physicians and patients is the starting point to counteract these practices.” JAMA. 2019 February 12; 321(6): 543-544. doi:10.1001/jama.2018.21560
Doc love your show, it’s opened my eyes to so much. My head is spinning, Absolutely love it. But I wanted to ask if this computer program /tool that will be helpful in identifying the imbalance within people. Has the developer look at intergrading block chain technology in this system? It sounds to me like it could be the missing tech we need to make this awesome tool reality!! I’m excited it to how far alone this is almost a year later.

This guy will get the Nobel prize when mainstream science catches up with him.
Agreed Dr. Bredesen deserves the Nobel Prize but he might need to receive it posthumously since he is way ahead of conventional medicine.😊😊🎉🎉
