Question on your recurrent each year, is this more like a BFR, so its not a PASS/FAIL? You just work on a maneuver that's is not up to standards until you get it right, more like training vs testing? Or is it like a checkride each year?
You're based in Des Moines? I live in Des Moines and I'm an aspiring corporate pilot about to graduate high school. Would you be able to meet up at KDSM anytime?
Good to have you back - for a moment I thought Covid had attacked this channel. (1) So there was a balloon at FL 540... have you ever seen other strange things while flying like unidentified aerial phenomena, "tic-tacs" or weather strange behaviors? (2) Was the failure shown that had you put on an oxygen mask part of the simulation training or did it actually happened to you?
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question for you that is pertinent to my flying literally today. Your showing at flight level 430, vertical speed of zero, and yet your attitude indicator shows 2.5° nose up. Is that expected?
Rob Ryan , yes. The air is thin and your IAS(indicated air speed) is relatively slow. So you have a slight pitch up, most noticeable at FL430 and Fl450.
That Semi looks pretty impressive! Did you have your wife or your daughter driving it? And did they let you drive it? Nice video! Interesting to see the simulators. What is more intimidating, the planes or the farm equipment?
Thanks, I spend more time in planes. So less intimidating. The training is stressful. Truck was nice, had a friend with more experience. That super 10sp made me look foolish a few times downshifting....
Glad to see you back. Love learning about the phenom through your videos
Wonderful stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice.
You are welcome.
