Hi Gary, Great to find your website and service. I had contacted GHD for repair service, to be offered 10% off a new one instead!! And wouldn't send me any info regarding a fix. Very annoying how these companies aren't forced to have a repair service with how the world is supposed to have gone so "green". Instead opting to try sell the latest model instead. I've replaced the thermal fuse but have broken the small clip. I've to order a thermistor from your site anyway (only one side is now heating up, (too hot also). Is this clip critical to replace also or would I get away without. Many thanks, Mike
Hi can you please help me ... I have a ghd Mk5 model I replaced the thermal fuse and it's still not switching on I tested the resistors R8 and R11 they were fine i tested the plates they were fine i tested the main cable that's fine so i can't see what else can be the problem .. Will you please be so kind to give me advice at what else might be the cause cos now currently it's not switching on no beeping sound nothing I checked everything that are usually the problems PLEASE HELP ME.Thank you for your videos 😄🥰
Have you seen this guide? ghd.repair/dbg4 If it really is nothing else, then it could be a dead pic processor. See ghd.repair/pcb. We stock replacement pro programmed pics. Or our repair service will sort them. See ghd.repair/service. Gary
The heaters are wired in parallel so that probably means one of the heaters is broken. If you measure the the heater resistance they should be 70 ohms each or 35 ohms if both connected and working. Gary
Thank you. Your clip is clear, concise and easy to follow. In short you saved us a few bob. Thanks again

hi there, my ghd was not heating so my husband changed the thermo fuse and now its "over heating" do you know what needs to be replaced as well?
Hi Rose,
Is the heater element working on the non switch side? Is the thermistor securely attached to the heater on the non switch side?
Regards,
Gary
My MK5 is going off just 2 seconds after turning on...did you came across this problem?
