My oem 8mm bolt for the intake isn't long enough with the new intake grommet so I took it out and snugged it up. Will this be a big problem?

I'm new to this, so please forgive my ignorance if this is obvious to everyone else. I thought the point of the snorkel was to move the intake up, but this still has the original intake at the front as well so wouldn't water/dust still flow in through the front?

I couldn't tell but is the Mishimoto air box larger than the OEM?

3:25 : The one thing I do not like about this air intake. This is the only way to change the filter which means I have to remove the whole box and pipe assembly every time I need to change/clean the airfilter.

7.5hp? What's even the point when you can go with the Injen CAI and gain upwards of 26hp and 27ft/lb of torque with no tune and for over $100 less money?

Debatable Chris, those are "claimed" numbers.... unless someone wants to put both on a dyno side by side for comparisons and demonstrate those real actual gains, then they're just claims. Injen is a great brand, and we sell their stuff too. I've gotta call BS on that claim from them though, there's no way. no. way. Maybe if they're shooting water methanol straight in the intake tube while they were testing it. Anyway, I don't recommend using claimed HP gains as your measurement. All CAI's will flow better and help with throttle response and some power gain. Buy based on the quality of the filtration, and the bling it adds to the engine bay, if you care about that.
