- PART 2: The continuation of the BEST Drunken Gummy Bears recipe.
When I'm not shooting car videos I like to have fun with friends. What better way to have fun than to throw in some Vodka and Candy? I decided to come up with an amazing new recipe for some Jumbo Drunken Gummy Bears (also called Rummy Bears). Check out this step by step video of how to create a party snack that will have all of your guests begging for more (and drunk off their asses!). Be careful though, this recipe packs a punch unlike any others that you have seen.

I've kept a huge batch of these in the fridge for up to 5 weeks!
I love the sound it makes.
It was a big hit and was very useful in drinking games. We used a few small bowls out on the table and when you were to "take a drink" you would pop a few of them. Great compliment to your regular drinks.
My friend I am 15 and this is probably the best alcoholic invention I have ever witnessed and shall be using it soon, I THANK YOU!
Hellll yea! congrats on the party and success with the ladies. These things are great for girls and parties in general. People find themselves just continuously snacking on them and getting a good buzz going.

i made some gummie bears using 100 proof vodka last year. it was a great hit. woke up the next morning just relaxing with friends before work and we were still eating them cause they were so good. this is the easiest and funnest
way to get drunk

Just made my second batch of these for Friday.
Perhaps that may be the reason beacuse i only Soaked them in volka the first day and did not stirr and left it in for a full 24hr without stirring and became sticky and more jello like..
Yea the leftover liquor can be used to prepare another batch. It will just have less alcohol concentration I think because of the sugar that was given off by the gummies. You'll probably need to add more.
Hey Sandy, it sounds like you waited too long in between stirrings. They will definitely stick if you don't move them around enough. You may be able to pry them apart if it's still pretty early on.
Honestly I would recommend the flavored vodka as it can infuse a fruity flavor directly to the core of the gummy bears. If you use unflavored vodka it will have a more harsh vodka taste and just a mild fruitiness. One thing I thought about trying to infuse the bears with was some Parrot Bay. They make some good fruity alcohol. Or even a a flavored rum.

ive actually tried this and mixed it with gummy worms and a fruit salad, the party i threw got the chicks loose and happy... and i got some by the end of the night, thanks brotha!

The soda might disolve the bears as stuff like coca cola is known to dissolve all kind of stuff. You could give it a shot with some sprite or orange soda or something perhaps?
Made these before. You need a huge amount of vodka to pull these off - plus a sweetened juice. My favourite recipe consists of (a pound of gummies + around 2 liters of vodka + 1 tin of frozen concentrated fruit punch). It makes for a sweet vodka gummy.
I would say to probably NOT let them get totally dry but you can put them out in small serving dishes and either put out some chop sticks, skewers or toothpicks or just try and let them air dry on a baking sheet or some paper towels for a few minutes.

Don't worry! You just need to be sure to stir them up like I show in the video. If yours are sticking together check on them more often and give them a stir. I hope they turn out great and you have a good time.
Question: To make sure that I and my party friends are being responsible - it would be helpful to have some idea as to the alcohol content of say 5 gummy bears (or whatever number) just for some kind of guide. Sounds yummy can't wait to try this and thanks for posting.

Haribo bears are pretty awesome but these ones from my local grocery chain were on sale and worked out just as good!

Honestly we used this as a little snack in between cocktails to keep the alcohol coming in while still having fun. Not as a sole source of getting drunk.
Yea you have to watch out... some brands don't use as much gelatin and have a lot of fruit juice in them which makes them dissolve quickly. Best to use like Haribo or the ones that are really firm.
in England you're legally allowed to drink with your parents permission at 14 if you're in your parents house, but if you go outside with the alcohol you can get arrested
how to make the best tasting gummy bear ever
1. get one of those JUMBO gummy bears that cost a lot of money
2. Get your favorite non alcoholic or alcoholic beverage
3. Take a large jar like this guy used and mix both of them
4. Leave them there for a day or so
Kids in my county got in trouble cuz they brought vodka soaked gummy bears to school sooo be careful where you bring them:)

@TheNameIsChristian We did a small test batch with unflavored vodka and it still came out really well. Just imagine the taste of a Jello Shot. It's still fruity and sweet but has a bit more of a kick.

I don't think they inherently have all that much liquid content to begin with so that might not work....but I do plan on doing some alcohol soaked dehydrated fruits soon to see how those absorb! Stay tuned.
Yes you can! Make sure it isn't too high proof (100 or more won't usually work) and use something that you can tolerate the taste of. I wouldn't use like Tequila or something because of it's taste ;)
You can even drink the excess Vodka if there's any left over. It'd taste really good with the gummy taste.

Yea they do have a fruity flavor still but are not nearly as sweet as the normal unsoaked product. One thing you can do is add in some juice like on day 2 and it should absorb some of that as well.

Well it's really hard to tell as it depends on the amount of alcohol, proof and amount of gummies you use. I would say about 20-30 bears would be equivalent to 1-2 ounces of vodka. The good thing about them is that you can enjoy these slowly throughout the night and it wont sneak up on you and make you sick. It's not like you'll sit there and eat 50-100 bears in an hour... or at least i hope not! :)

Luckily in Finland we are allowed to drink at the age of 18. Oh well, we can't buy strong alcohol drinks like vodka, but we can bring it from Estonia legally. :))

Sure you could easily do a rum soaked version that would be good as well. I'm a fan of pineapple or coconut rum. Anything fruit flavored or tropical works well with the fruity gummy bears.

How You tried with Sour Patch, If so ... Would you perfer them over Hummie bears? I'm pretty sure the gummie bears will observe more tho....

I've actually made that in the past but it's just waaay too sweet for my taste. At least with the gummies you can snack on them and they arent overly sweet. Thanks for watching and the suggestion!

I think that the half of a cup worked out fine. Using Vodka straight works well too it just has a bit stronger flavor. Just tough it out and eat this straight and chase them with a beer or mixed drink :)
As you can see from some of the comments below it appears that Everclear or any grain alcohol just will not work properly. I don't know if it's from the extremely high proof or what but it tends to mess things up. Why not just go with a good tasting 80 proof vodka and make something everyone will want to eat and not vomit from :)

That's a pretty damn good idea! Maybe some powdered sugar or something? Good way to separate them all.

i can agree with genesis but if you were going to use rum i would definatley use the pineapple rather than cocunut as an opinion and flavor over flavor, i've tried both coconut rummy bears and pineapple. but really its which ever you'd preffer just thought i'd give an opinion

I was eating these in between my normal drinks... Gin & Tonic, Rum & Coke etc... Don't really want to use gummies as your main source of alcohol for the night!
