Fun fact: The wrist blade *is* your best weapon. With a bit of dancing in and out of melee range of the super battle droids, you can down them solo without a single shot fired. I remember back when I was a kid, I'd only use it and the pistol because they were "Man's weapons." I died a lot.
Seeing this makes me think about how Halo Reach would've been with some squad tactics kind of stuff. Also I second that comment that its neat that you review stuff you like, since it definitely comes through in the reviews and makes them more fun to watch. Also I like how star wars doesnt fix whats broken, and even though I've never played this game I recognized all the songs played in it because they were also used in SWTOR.
I always thought gameplay like that of Republic Commando would have been an ideal fit for the Syndicate reboot. And the fact that Imperial Commando never got past pre-production will always piss me off.
"First person pointer" is such a good way to call it. It's far from being extremely tactical, but it's good enough to make you feel moderately smart about it. The companions actually being competent at worst and have the ability to revive you are also great. So great in fact, that it's a wonder no other games try to replicate it. I think it would definitely fit something like Warhammer 40k, though me playing Dawn of War 2 around that time probably affect that mindset.
I remember hearing about this game as a kid, but because I didn't have an OG Xbox for much of my childhood, I was unskilled with Google, and I didn't know how to read a Wikipedia article, I never really knew much about it. This video puts slightly more context into a childhood oddity I scantly heard other people discuss. Thanks!
This is one of these games that actually deserve a remaster. Also, there is a book series that follows this game characters and even continues past ending of this game.
3:31 No matter what machine I played on with this game. That bug ALWAYS happened. The moment it took damage it went apeshit. I think it's more an issue with the way it's positioned. But that's just me.
The reason they show Lincoln as a devil I'd argue was to just show how bad the city is, but it almost seems hilarious. Cause the artwork of Lincoln basically had him being ushered to heaven by the angels like he was a reincarnation of Christian, and was basically mourned like the America's had lost their future king.

If you like that kind of stuff, try ghost recon advanced warfighter (1 and possibly 2 but the first one is the certified hood classics). Not the 3rd person one but the 1st person one. You will be grateful
Idk, I like your voice and timing, these videos are just cool to watch, especially since you review things that you like, which gives them that much more of a nice feel, cause its always better to watch something like that instead of someone just jumping on the bandwagon for the views. Also, here's a smiley face: :D
"So I would win any copyright claim" In theory, legally yeah. In practice, UA-cam doesn't give a shit and won't take the time to listen to your defense. Their system put a strike on your video, and there's essentially no way to talk to or get your video in front of an actual human for support, so you're kind of just stuck with it unless the same system that struck you changes its mind.
If you refute the automated claim, it'll go back and forth up to three times, and at that point it's up to the company that made the claim to bring you to court. I'm not even remotely worth suing, so the poor guy at Disney who's job it is to sift through UA-cam claims would just drop it. That's what I mean by "win", I'm fully aware that companies just spam the "eat shit" button every time someone refutes their claims lol
@@Toastoffire100 Fair enough, you're definitely not going to see the inside of a court room from it. Pisses me off that those companies pretty much have executive power over the decision without any real recourse beyond that though, even if it's perfectly covered under parody or fair use.
There was one series of games that did a lot of the same shit this one does. The Brothers in Arms series, made by Gearbox back when Randy didn't just let Borderlands dictate everything they do.
Thank the youtube algorithm for discovering this chump channel
Thanks for the new banner lmao

Genuinely a perfect channel. I shall build a shrine to you and pray to become so creative and entertaining

I feel like this is going to be one of those channels that blows up in a month or so
It shall happen soon inshallah 🙏
Wasn't expecting the Offensive formation joke, 10/10
Thank you I had to download SFM just for that
Things like the microphone smack and a lot of bloopers being retained in your current reviews is one of the main draws of this channel for me

Neat, do you know what they're called?

Absolutely underrated channel. Discovered you from the videos you edited for Sseth. Wouldnt be the first time he helped me discover hidden gems
This is but one step on my infinite crusade.
Still waiting for a sequel for this game

One of my favorite childhood games
Just recently played this again, definitely some spotty sections, unfortunately more near the end, but overall a good time.
The soundtrack is absolutely the best thing in this game

A lot of the complaints you mentioned are with the computer remake version. The original Xbox disk version did not have many of these issues.
