That's my state senator. This year the Missouri Republican Party tried to destroy the Ballot Initiative Petition process. Bill Eigel proudly supported the effort. He doesn't come from the middle of nowhere either. He's actually in the most purple district in Missouri. There are a lot of union workers in this district from Boeing and GM. Let's elect Matt Williams for Senate District 23 and get Eigel out of there. Please like this comment so we can give Matt more exposure.

Tubber is among his friends in Alabama and Florida, which is the problem. When the people who support him don't see a problem, it is a reflection of the views of the people who voted for him. Until the great depression the town in New Jersey, where I went to college, was a part of the yearly agricultural migration along the U.S. east coast. Since they followed the ripening of the crops and the harvest, they were on the move from South to North and did whatever manual work was needed. After the harvest in the north, the families would either visit their families in the homeland or relax in the quarters provided by their employers. Logically, children got integrated into the local schools and did not migrate with the father and older siblings. Near Glassboro was a town located, called Buena. The main language was Spanish. The people were Mexican. Without them, neither the planting season nor the harvest would have been possible.
The local non-farmers found their presence annoying. So, they insisted upon mispronouncing the name; Bioona, instead of Buena. And they were so proud of their obstinance.

As a blue eyed elderly man of Swedish decent, I welcome all the one million immigrants that recently came to my country, Canada. As long as EXTREMEST people that are Moslem, Christian, Hindu, whatever, are kept out and are good people, I am happy to see them as Canadian citizens. Regular immigrants that proudly keep their cultural heritage in a positive way and have no or little bias against others are welcome. 😊 However, all countries need to have an immigration policy. The US or Canada would have an economic and cultural problem if there was no restrictions.

One of the greatest things about this Country is that we are a melting pot of cultures from around the world. I love being able to walk down a street and can hear Salsa music, polka music, opera, K POP, you name it. I can choose an Italian, BBQ, Ethiopian, Greek, Indian, Turkish, or Armenian (shout out to Cenk & Ana) restaurant. I am second generation Italian American and the vast majority of my Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and tons of cousins all came over from Italy and it is awesome. An experience that I hope and happily support for all people from anywhere in the world to experience. Humanity over all!

Is it a coincident that the U.S. Citizens (majority rural citizens) who have never owned a passport are the ones least empathetic IRT the issues of immigration, homeless, working poor, and the LGBTQ+ community?
FYI: I'm Seneca Indian, Bear Clan and 24 year Army Veteran (1984-2008) Service connected disabled Veteran. I have had the honor of serving with Soldiers who were not even U.S. citizens when they first swore an oath to Protect and Defend the U.S. Constitution. Not many became Citizens after their service. And some are even resting in Arlington.
I believe that the large majority of rural U.S. citizens would be more empathetic towards others if they actually got to know the many different varieties of people the world has to offer. I know that in reality, people world wide are more alike than they are different. However, the differences between others can be flavorful, fun, interesting, erotic, and even unique.
Because most U.S. citizens do not travel much and live in 90% white rural communities, they have never and most likely will never engage with people different from themselves.
Guess that first invasion of Europeans was OK, then. Right?😎

@@artjohnLagas-gk6mg I can't speak for the majority of college football players. I can say that a person who generalizes large groups people as all being garbage must themselves be garbage and stupid.
I saw a comment from an Irish guy, some one said he should worry about immigrants in his country; he said “I don’t blame immigrants for my government’s failings, I’m not a racist mate.”
I hope this candidate is willing to tell that to the food processing plants in his states that actively recruit undocumented workers.
Same here in illinois. Years ago friends of mine were returning from a trip to California and said that there are signs at the border directing them to a meat packing plant in joslin Illinois and if my memory serves me correct they would reimburse you for the bus ride. That was clear back in the 60s.
