    Found a ship manifest from a distant relative who arrived at Ellis Island in May 1914. Destination, Hibbing MN. I assume because of the iron ore mine as that was where he worked at back home

      No refining on site, no toxic waste. Taconite production does produce tailings which were once just dumped in the lake. This is now banned and they are placed in piles, hopefully with topsoil added so that nature can cover it back up.
