  • Schleißheim Palace (German: Schloss Schleißheim) is a Baroque palace and park ensemble in the vicinity of Munich, which served as one of the residences of the Wittelsbachs of Bavaria.
It is a complex of three separate castle buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, which are axially connected to each other by a spacious garden and includes:
⚜ Old Schleissheim Palace in the west , ⚜ New Schleissheim Palace in the center
⚜ and Lustheim Palace in the eastern part of the park.
The ensemble of buildings was built by the Bavarian Electors as a summer residence, but the complex was left unfinished.
All three castles and the park can be visited. In addition to historic rooms, the Old Palace Lustheim holds exhibitions and the collection of Meissen porcelain of the Ernst Schneider Foundation; the New Palace serves as a baroque gallery of the Bavarian State Collection of Paintings.
