I believe in a meta ending, the brothers realizing they have the power to write their own ending. I'm not sure, but I think the soul link between Sam and Chuck because of the bullet hole will come into play, with Sam gaining God's powers to rewrite reality.

They will win against god and if they don't like dean once said and if we die then will do that together too either way they will go out together or beat chuck together as brothers side by side fighting the good fight till the end

I gotta admit it tho, Chuck's ending took wayyyyyyy too long to reach to but, having the ending be where Dean meets Sam(Lucifer) once again and has to die is like a punch in the heart. But it makes sense terrifyingly because everything actually leads to it. Everybody wants a happy ending where Sam and Dean get to live together after Chuck dies and because that's the usual route that most movies take, so they have absolutely no actual expectation that Chuck will win in the show. I believe that in my opinion, either ending is beautiful. Whether or not it becomes a cliche happy ending or Chuck's plan to have one of the Winchesters permanently die. Tho it WOULD be more shocking if Chuck wins, I honestly wouldn't be too surprised, just sad that it had to end this way.
There is absolutely no way the show will end like this. It's a poetic ending for Chuck's story, but it's a terrible ending for Kripke's. It goes against the entire point of the show, against everything the boys have ever done. So everyone freaking out in the comments that Supernatural might end this way, stop. No matter how bad the writing gets, no matter how many crappy subplots pop up, they will never just abandon the show's ideals

Anything that happens there happens to Chuck as well. Plus, the blade kills literally anything and everything (just like the god killing gun.) Chuck dies, and Sam's soul is destroyed by the blade so there is no resurrection unless if Jack creates a miracle again. This is cold in my opinion, but theoretically should work.
