I live in East Boston and there's a barber shop on my corner and another one two doors down from it. It always made me think of this cartoon and when he says "He's gotta his clientele I gotta mine."
I don't remember Mighty having a red union suit with yellow cape and shorts, and no humming buzz when he flies. But still the little town of Terrytoon looked great, the quintessence of storybook tooniness, although normally such Terrytoon towns aren't inhabited by humans, although the premise sort of demanded it. Anyway it's a great little toon and the mice getting haircuts were super cute. Again normally they rarely get such individualization.
He was still in a state of "influx" after his alteration from "Super Mouse" early that year. By early 1945, his appearance and "entrances" were standardized.
Anyone know what that thing at 3:57 is, where they store the mice. My guess would be that it might be for hot towels. Just did an image search and in fact it is a pre electric hot towel steamer. Cool looking.
+Ebony Love The name of the little town is called Terrytoon, that was the name of the cartoon studio that produced Mighty Mouse as well as Heckle &and Jeckle.

Actually there were three. One of them was banned and DID have MM's zooming sound.
