The Proxy setting for Prowlarr itself is optional or a mistake isnt it ? If activated like the video shows, it wont work, if disabled, it works just fine.
Fantastic video thank you. That's 3 of my requested things, I really appreciate that. I'm looking forward to the overseerr video, that will tie everything all together.
There's something off or outdated in this guide reading many comments that turning on Proxy breaks everything. I also get error 501. Perhaps something is different when using the VPN manager and standalone QBit that you didn't cover.
Very nice video, thank you! I have set everything up as you did. I enabled the proxy in Prowlarr and the indexers are working. But as soon as I want to put radarr or sonarr in the same setting the download does not work if I enable the proxy in delugeVPN. Privoxy is enabled in the deluge container...any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the answer, I guess I should have been a little more clear on that. You are plugging in the API from the program you are setting up. Setting up Radarr, get the API key from Radarr. Setting up Sonarr, get the API key from Sonarr...
Great video! I'm not sure why, but mapping Deluge your way ( Settings > General > Proxy), but it would not work for me. I kept getting a 404 error. I double checked the IP & port... What did work though, I went to Settings > Download Apps > Deluge, then configured it there. Any ideas why that worked and yours did not?
Does anyone know why I can't connect to some indexers? I keep getting this error message "Unable to connect to indexer, please check your DNS settings and ensure IPv6 is working or disabled. An error occurred while sending the request." I haven't got Ipv6 enabled in my unraid server so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
Hey there, great video, love the simple demo guide for all this!.. but question on the proxy setup on prowlarr, when enabled, it fails test to connection with both radarr and sonarr apps. when disabled, both apps pass test button, what to do?
I had this.... turns out that within the enable proxy section in sonarr you need to add your local network as an exception so if following the video it would be 10.0.0.* worked for me
Only thing that didnt work for me was when proxy was turned on it didnt connect to Radarr, had to tick and enter the local IP Address of the server to exclude

With in the Proxy area do you the Proxy Type as: HTTS(S) Hostname: should be your server IP address Port: is the port number of your DelugeVPN container. @@Pel0r the issue for me was having privoxy on. I turned it off and I don't have any issues now. your torrent client is behind a vpn so you'll be okay.
It's actually bad practice to put anything related to Radarr, Sonarr and prowlarr behind a proxy or VPN. And if you think you need it, do it the correct way and put only the needed indexers behind a VPN. There is a written guide that the official Radarr and Sonarr support team often use as pointer that explains it the correct way. Also I'm actually missing the recommendation of a custom docker network, so you can use the container name.
Thanks for pointing that out. I agree that the custom docker network needs to be set up. I wanted to keep the content simple without mudding the waters with adding in the custom network setup. I have plans to add that content but I wanted people to understand the default layout first. Exactly. When setting up radarr, copy radarr's API key and paste it in the setup, same for sonarr, lidarr, etc
