Stephen Dempster probes how low-level intimidation prospers in Northern Ireland and how statutory bodies become locked into potentially compromising relationships.
The best thing I ever did was move to London. I grew up on the Shankill Road and at the age of 29 left for a better life. All this bullshit is what holds NI back from progression.
You done the right thing, I'm so sick of this type of stuff
You left at age 29????? I left at age 18 but cannot agree more that it was the best decision of my life.
@@Oldsoho Yeah, 29. I was a professional dancer with Northern dance theatre so I travelled alot but still had my family home in the shankill estate which was hard to let go of.
Same. I left at age 18 moved to the southeast of England and am 25 now. I laugh my head off at the plain stupidity of the people of Northern Ireland. Glad to be rid of that shithole.
I hope to move to Spain soon. I'm 26 and I've had enough. Every day this place gets me down...
I'm Scottish who lived in Belfast for a year when I was younger,,I loved the city,,I loved the people..I hope one day the walls come down and both community's live a normal life together,,but I don't know if that will happen,,if it does it will be the next generation that gets to see it,,as this generation still will never trust each other,,plus there is still too many things that happened that people cannot forget or forgive..but one day things may change
It should explained that the Clandeboye area and the Kilcooley area are not that far apart at all. Walking distance.
So is the falls to the shankill. What's ur point.
So the UDA get paid by the British government
And the Irish government.
I thought , this stuff was all done but the paramilitaries rule there community's with an iron fist, now is the time to forget all this hatred and do the best we can so that our children will not have grow up in terror. God bless all
where you from as i doubt you in the north if you thought all was done and dusted
Since when has a Belfast giants mural which is ice hockey a loyalist mural lol ?
That’s the I.H.V.F. (Ice hockey volunteer force)
Charter for Northern Ireland gets grants from Diversity Equity Independence, Policing and Community Safty Partnership, The Housing Executive. The Northern Ireland Office, The International Fund for Ireland , The Dept of Foreign Affairs in Westminster. The ICRC and Ards and North Down Borough Council. No wonder are Roads are in such a terrible state !!!!!!!
Not bad work if you can get it ....
So glad I grew up in donegal! 🇮🇪 ☘️ 🇮🇪

at 9.30 the guy with the moustache left of spence, is William smith I worked in H&W he was a shite house clerk, cleaned the toilets gave out the towels to people who actually worked
@Harry Harry assumption is the hallmark of an idiot
a psni officer saying the uda has came a long way wtf like he needs slapped yah wouldn't hear them say that about any republican groups
Aarons a brave man. Fair play to him
Question is why are the flags being put up? It is a message to the local community who is boss. There is real trouble to come as long as these kind of groups thrive. There should be no place for paramilitary groups in 2021. All the people of NI deserve a better future without bullies masquerading as community leaders.
To defend againts dirty republican no loyalty to the state .
@@rd28gu2 ???
