i felt for the first guy, i have severe social anxiety and i was always insecure of it. i had to sit in the back and the teachers were constantly told to not ask me questions as i got panic attacks when the attention was on me and not one teacher listened or took me seriously and basically made my school life hell so it's not nice to ridicule someone for their 'issues'.
I'm a freshman in hs and the teachers don't understand, only my math teacher, he has never called me out infront of class but the other teachers always call randomly to read, answer questions, tell us to talk in our groups etc. but I really can't do anything and it makes me feel so stupid because I look around and see other people doing it without any problem and makes me say "what's wrong with me?" "why am i like this?" If i do get called I have to talk because if i don't and say something like "i can't" or "i have anxiety" people will think I'm strange so i just do it, but it feels so bad, people say the more you do it it'll feel better but for me it gets worse and i get even more scared to talk, In a school day I only talk if i get called on and what's worse is that i have depression, I've done 6 suicide attempts during 7th-9th grade and I feel so hopeless, I'm failing my classes, I'm so done with it, every single day I'm suicidal and think about taking my own life, I don't even know how to start a coversation, In 7th grade was when i found out what a friend even was, i didn't feel much before then because i didn't have much interaction with other people but as i discovered feelings i regreted it, I struggle with things like a converation because I have no knowledge of what a converation should be like, I feel like my anxiety became like this because My learning of human interaction only really started in 7th grade, even now i still don't know how to approach someone or have a simple conversation and it makes me feel so bad, I feel so dumb because I struggle with things like these, It's funny, My depression started in 7th grade just when my feeling were being developed, I honestly don't even remember being happy as a child, my dad was still with us up until i ended 6th grade, I see pictures of me smiling when i was a kid but was it real? I feel like my learning is behind on interaction with other people. Before 7th grade i didn't feel much, i was like a robot, just living because i had to and in recess i always sat by the gate and talked to myself, i had converations with myself which was probably weird but i had no one, i didn't know how to approach someone. Just this year my friend encouraged me to try a app where you could find friends and stuff, i don't even know how how to have a conversation through text, I didn't even get what "what's up" meant. A lot of people started the conversation with "what's up" and i didn't comprehend what that meant, so i googled searched it and i found out what it meant, just 2 months ago i found this out. I feel so slow compared to others......My dad left around 6th grade and i cried but i didn't really understand, i was just a kid, Soon after i realized what feelings were because of a girl i met, she was quiet and i was also quiet so most of the time we just stayed there not saying anything because even though we didn't talk we both had an understanding of what the other felt and somehow we became best friends, since i graduated 8th grade in july 2018 we went to different high schools and now we don't talk, i don't have anybody except one girl who has a same interest as me but that's it. When my dad left i didn't know what to feel, I feel like my dad's leave had a strong effect on how my anxiety came, i was always a quiet child and strange since i didn't even talk to my own relatives, i only talked to my parents and sometimes to my 2 older brothers but i didn't have much interaction with anyone else and i feel like since I only had my friend in 7th grade I didn't talk to anyone other than her so even though i found out more of what feelings were, i never talked to others so i still didn't know how to talk to people and i still don't..I really can't do things like paying at at stores, I always have my friend or my family do it for me, I've never done it by myself and i can't, I've tried but it feels like I'm going to get a panic attack, I also can't talk to teachers, Only if i feel comfortable enough i can talk to them but that's rare, i can't do things people my age can do and it makes me feel terrible......

I got severe depression and anxiety from school, I’m not even halfway done with high school. I’ve had multiple suicide attempts and it makes me sad because they all failed. I don’t want to continue going to school, it’s just causing me to become suicidal because of the stress.

High school and college are totally different. In HS, a teacher probably shouldn't share political views (even though it IS legal). In college, everything is fair game. Speaking from experience. We're all adults at that point. Instead of getting butthurt over everything
yeah the difference between HS and college is that in college. most are paying thousands to be there. So if you act up and disrupt the class you're also disrupting everyone who paid to be there so on top of other students being mad at you. Yeah, the media made it sound like college people were unanimously supportive of Hilary and only the uneducated voted for Trump. It must have been frightening for the liberals that there were actual college students that saw through Hilary's bullshit and decided to support and vote for Trump.
The rant raving girl should have been immediately arrested. The teacher should have filed the students out for their own safety. Parents should teach their children that when a volatile incident occurs step out for their personal safety.

Wouldn’t it be better that she gets the help to let out whatever it is she may be bottling up than to just lock her up and throw away the key?
To be fair, schools are trying to force students to learn things that clearly will have no importance in everyday life. If teachers cant provide a definite answer as to how what they are teaching will be important and certainly apply to your life in the future, then there is no motivation to learn.
Well, with math and the sciences, they exercise your ability to solve logically. It causes you to also think outside the box in terms of problem solving in everyday issues. But I agree, schools and teachers can't seem to explain why we need these things, but they should make an effort. I also wish they would put more funding towards the music department. Playing a musical instrument helps you learn to focus and coordinate various parts of you when you play that instrument. It helps exercise your brain that way. A lot of doctors and surgeons also happen to be very musically adept.
@@Don_Salieri1899 The teacher is an underpaid and under appreciated individual that has to deal with the BS that is the education system, as well as the BS from kids being kids with the occasional jerk. They also have to talk for extended periods of time while trying to ensure that children learn the lesson material. That can be taxing and different teachers handle that burn differently. A type shown here is a teach that just talks louder inorder to be heard by the kids in the back; rather than projecting their voice. Often the problem kids say something disrespectful(ly) in a low voice that can only be heard within a distance and the teacher hears it. Not taking sides but, problem children often escalate the situation further. I am also not saying teachers are flawless but the have a mentally rough job due to the stress.
@@Don_Salieri1899 Your paragraph long run-on sentence makes very little sense and weakens your arguement. Please work on your grammar. Teachers are trained for it but it is taxing. Teaching kids all day is not the same as selling lemonade. Not even the same ballpark. You contradicted yourself and no people do not praise teachers for snapping or not handling the situation right. They get praised for getting through the situation without stooping to the kid's level.
I’m proud of the first kid for standing up for himself. I remember having a teacher tell me my parents didn’t raise me right, not knowing both my parents were dead. You have to give respect to get respect; being an adult doesn’t make you a supreme lord deserving all the respect in the world, impervious to all judgment on your actions. If a teacher said I had issues, I’d take it personal myself.
Same. I had a teacher make fun of /me/ (it was implied by her staring at me as well as the whole class definitely knowing I self harmed) in front of my whole art class for self harming :/.
Joshua Musaazi idk it was kinda damaging for me. I have some severe anxiety and ive been in environments of abuse and so whenever i hear shouting especially from an adult it triggers me and makes me unable to function for a while. It may be fun for some and I understand that, im just thinking about the people who are like me and it ruins our day and even our mental state to be subjected to that especially with all the pressure from school piled on top. I understand where you’re coming from thou!
Anytime politics are brought up im the one person who just goes quiet and doesnt speak my mind. I let the conversation take its course and we move to another topic.
I remember when I was in junior high school, a difficult student can sometimes be banned from going to school for a few days as punishment. Which is stupid and doesn't make sense. That's EXACTLY what the student wanted, lol!
The students’ behavior here was absolutely atrocious & I just CANNOT FOR THE VERY LIFE OF ME IMAGINE HAVING TO BE A TEACHER TODAY AND HAVING TO PUT UP WITH THIS KINDA BS DAY IN AND DAY OUT.....NOOOOOOOOO THANK YOU!!!!!
i graduate from highschool in five days and i have dealt and witnessed disrespect towards teachers for no reason. but i’ve also seen and experienced disrespect from teachers for no good reason. i think schools need to reenforce the treat others the way you wanna be treated rule. respect me and i’ll respect you. i’ll respect you and you respect me.
I went to school from Pre-Freshman in HS. And then my mom homeschooled me because I was getting bullied even after I told the principal. My school is full of fucking favorited little brats. I'm glad I'm out of that hellhole.
Man you're lucky to not be locked up with some kids thinking that school is about to flex around and be some wannabe instead of helping and educate eachother , but you can't expect anything from anyone
Graduated 2020, normal school changed to at home learning. They really took all of our mental health in mind and made sure we were all doing ok. Best decision EVER!! They really helped all of us feel better about ourselves and help us feel confident. Every school should do something about mental health.
OMG. Now I understand what my distant friend goes through. She teaches young teens like these, and I always thought it was a piece of cake... HELL NO. I applaud her all the way. Her kids LOVE her. So she's doing something right, obviously. Wow.
As someone who is in my 30s I could never and I repeat NEVER do high school again as a student. All the damn yelling and sitting down bored all day , having to ask permission to go to the bathroom.... sheeeshhh. Talk about an anxiety attack.
I don't know why, but this is really opening up my emotional side. I feel as tho I've been asleep ever since my parents split up and it's like I've been shut down and blocked everything else out..... and now i'm re-living every time I got yelled at by an authority figure. I don't know how to feel is it bad/good or what. I do know it brings some sort of comfort to me to cringe at these teachers yelling.
I understand the frustration of teens. Most teachers have a difficult time. Students didn't act like that in school, in my day, either. We didn't scream at the teachers, and teachers didn't back. The size of some of those classrooms! It looked like a college lecture hall. How does anyone learn in that setting? Hey, teens, Unfortunately, in order to get help, you have to ask for it. Hard, I know. But, if you don't advocate for your needs... who will? Same goes for the teachers. If you need help, it should available. I was in HS back in 1968 -1972. I had a teacher, who introduced me to the likes of James Baldwin, Ralph Ellison, Malcolm X, Langston Hughes, and Richard Wright. The teacher had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was young. My first teacher was under the age of 40. We were army brats, with the base, just sown the road. It was also a politically charged time. Just pointing to a comparison. Stay safe!
oh man im with u 💯 Kids would always argue with the teachers and each other and sometimes it gets to a point where they almost start fighting and I just sit there and spectate everything or move far away from the argument man one more year and I'm out of this hell hole
bump uglies? Well getting constantly put down and insulted will be enough for anybody to blow over. Not a lot of people have the mindset that words are just words and let a word cut them deep.
I understand both as a student and someone who wants pursue a career in teaching that both sides can be stressful, and not one side is completely innocent
The only problem with schools is that they pick the teachers who are arrogant and disocial on participated students. I think I can see why students always go through stress in school. I mean I went through depression in middle school, and luckily moved on to high school. They need better teachers to make students comfortable and have them teach students the right following ways of life, not to mention comforting students with anxiety issues.
Daniel Romero I'm also a freshman and my 8th period class is so bad that I have to help my teacher get them quiet as I'm one of the only students who can behave.
I graduated in 2012... This is nothing compared to what I've seen. Once a kid pulled s butterfly knife on another kid in the hall, and stabbed him in the face. Another time a kid brought a gun to school and fired it in the cafeteria. Oh, and this one time a very good friend of mine put the lock from his locker in a sock and hit a teacher over the head with it. This shit is tame by my standards.
5 was ridiculous. Teachers shouldn’t be talking of politics like that in class if they are going to be biased. There are of course going to be students who have parents or themselves don’t support whatever you support so please keep it to yourself and avoid causing problems with it. They are here to learn not talk about who is the better candidate to vote for or criticize people for voting for a certain someone. I respect the student for speaking up about it.
College professors pretty much talk about whatever tf they want, including personal and political options. 🤷🏽♂️ Just kinda comes with the territory. Guys like that disruptive student are EXACTLY the ones I remember washing out of law school as 1L's lol
The student in the blue shirt was out of control. The other students should have been removed just in case she got more out of control. There is a protocol for this at every school but the teacher didn't use it to deescalate nor protect.
Teachers whether they're pro or anti Trump or any other president for that matter should encourage debate amongst students on their feelings of his time in office & his policies but should remain impartial themselves. Seems like there's a lot of teachers these days trying to force their own political views on students in the classroom & if the students challenge them then they throw their toys out of their pram, will refuse them a voice & will incite other students to shout them down.
ItsCWillis actually it does. Depending on which areas in your city that you live in depends on how decent the public school is. In my city the school with the best national average got all of the funding so instead of making the failing schools better they just gave money to the school that didn’t need it as much. I also went to a private school in my town and those a lot of the time aren’t worth the money
Lmao if I was a teacher dealing with disrespectful kids, I'd have a lot of fun assigning pop quizzes 🤙. Talk while taking an exam? No problem, zero. If you want to retake the exam alone in detention, feel free to talk to me after class. I just can't waste energy on kids that don't take education seriously.
And man I feel so bad for all teachers especially ones now days. So many kids feel entitled and are always on their phones. I couldn't be a teacher now. I thought it was bad way back in the early 2000's. But it's horrible now!!!
kids need to be mentored more than they need to be taught. They shouldn’t escalate things just because people are interrupting a lesson. Punishment is necessary sometimes, but they need to keep their cool and see past the heat of the moment.
I cannot believe this Graduated from high school 2008 . If I had a phone that shit would be gone real quick . I started watching this having hope of the “ big screens in our face since brith “ babies . So sad honestly.
Once a teacher starts arguing with the student they’ve just revealed to the class that they have no authority. When Admin doesn’t have their back all teachers can do is bluster because they know that these disruptive and disrespectful students will be sent back to class with a snack.
Why do kids feel the need to argue back with teachers when they are telling you to do something!! We in 2020 now and nothing's changed! I'm class of 2023 !! I know I'm going to see more of this through out my high schools years!! I also seen a lot of this in middle school!!
It's not cheesy, you're right. Teachers should never talk about their political opinions to a class. And if there is anything related to politics in that class, it should all be informative and unbiased information.
Really felt for the first guy. IT sucks when teachers don't listen to you when you're just trying to do what you have to do to make it through the day. Teachers like this make kids feel insecure about their mental health and feel like they're a problem and that fucking blows.
I'm a teacher myself, but I gotta say... I've NEVER been disrespectful to any of my students!! My classroom operates under Safe Space guidelines, and any curse words or bullying comments are grounds for immediate removal from my classroom. Never have I had any students as disrespectful as some of these ones though! 🤔

Happiest day of my life was getting out of school. In the real world you don't (normally) have the same type of hierarchy/power structure like schools, even boss to employee encounters usually have a good balance of respect and equal understanding between both parties. I'm there to do work and get paid, they're there to give work and details on operations. School just seems so bad for mental health looking back.

@@Don_Salieri1899 Kids need to learn this first. You only see when teachers reach their limits dealing with the BS.
@[Čaÿřa] [Řøđříguež] That attitude is what is wrong with kids these days.
Kids are simps for teachers 😳😳😳
I’m proud of the first kid for standing up for himself. I remember having a teacher tell me my parents didn’t raise me right, not knowing both my parents were dead. You have to give respect to get respect; being an adult doesn’t make you a supreme lord deserving all the respect in the world, impervious to all judgment on your actions. If a teacher said I had issues, I’d take it personal myself.
Sorry you got mistreated by teachers hope you ok now ❤️
Same. I had a teacher make fun of /me/ (it was implied by her staring at me as well as the whole class definitely knowing I self harmed) in front of my whole art class for self harming :/.

As a teacher why tf am I watching this. Christ, these kids are calm as hell hell compared to mine.
I understand the frustration of teens. Most teachers have a difficult time. Students didn't act like that in school, in my day, either. We didn't scream at the teachers, and teachers didn't back. The size of some of those classrooms! It looked like a college lecture hall. How does anyone learn in that setting?
Hey, teens,
Unfortunately, in order to get help, you have to ask for it.

Last time I checked, I thought it was " I COULDN'T care less."
The only reason why I kinda like school is that I won't feel lonely and I can talk to other kids my age instead of just my mom. At least she's funny

This is a key reason as to why I go to online school... I have no time for classmates. It gives me hella anxiety..plus I work better alone
I agree. Sad when there’s more of an opposing side that uses there numbers to shut down a minority. Whatever the case may be, even religious beliefs

I also went to a private school in my town and those a lot of the time aren’t worth the money

kids need to be mentored more than they need to be taught. They shouldn’t escalate things just because people are interrupting a lesson. Punishment is necessary sometimes, but they need to keep their cool and see past the heat of the moment.
