I also found it interesting that at the end of season four, will said “it’s strange knowing who it was this entire time” as if he already knew of vecnas existence.

Its definitely going to be Will singing should i stay or should i go. They said Will is going to have a significant role for season 5 and its going to circle back to season 1. The upside down being frozen on the day goes missing is crucial.

The season is going to focus on Will. It makes no sense for it to be Eddie when he was a secondary ( though fan favorite) character we just got introduced to last season. We didn't really get to know much about his character or back story. Especially seeing him not as a child which the scene says it's a child. We never saw what Will was going through in the upside down just quick clips. How did Will survive so long and why was he hooked up to the vines where Barbara and everyone else was killed almost immediately by the demigorgan or demigods etc... there is a small chance it's Max since shes in a coma but we never really saw her as child.. only that 1 flash scene in season 4. Plus duffer brothers says show is going to do a full circle back to season 1 where Will was tge 1 taken, survived, and still has a connection with the upside down and we don't know why.
Cold wind and trees... I think the season will be opened with a scene showing Will in the Upside Down. I think we will finally learn what happened, and why it happened.
I mean it's clear the Demogorgon that kidnapped Will was controlled by Vecna. The way it moves, the powers... Will was his aim. He left him alive. None of the others the Demogorgon brought to the Upside Down.
Can't wait for the last huge revelations!
I'm pretty certain it was Vecna that took Will. Telekinesis on the shed lock.
However when Hopper and Joyce rescue Will he was being held by the vines and had the creature going down his throat and he had the baby demogorgon in his body so he wasn’t necessarily being kept alive except to be a carrier.

But there might be something more to all that. He only really died when Hopper took the tendril/vine thing out. Who knows, maybe it did something we don't know about yet.
OK, AND the date and time is frozen in the upsidedown and Will is repeating "Should I stay or Should I go?". We keep talking about things on this repeat and Will is repeating the song over and over and over and I agree Vecna could have just killed him or the Demodogs could have, but the date is frozen in everyone's upsidedown and the song and question of staying or going is on repeat? What happened on the day Will vanished? Why does Will repeat the song over and over and over other than a coping mechanism and why is HE able to reach out of the upsidedown? Other kids weren't able to. Other kids didn't build a fort in the upsidedown.

It would be a flashback scene involving Will Byers wandering around the Upside Down that takes place during the event of season 1. So, Will would run into The Creel House without knowing what he would get into with Vecna 😳😳😳
I think we will see Max singing running up that hill. This scene is Maxs dream as she is in a coma.
I think it will be a flashback to when Will is in the upside down and the song he is sing is should I stay or should I go or I think it’s after Eddie “died” and he’s lying there singing a Metallica song revealing that he came back as Kas
First off… it can’t be Max. She’s not a child lmao. Secondly, it only makes sense to start with Will in the upside down from season 1. Full circle wrap and probably some secrets we didn’t know about season 1 and Will
Technically she is you are a child until you are 18
I think it could be:
A. Will trapped in the Upside Down, singing "Should I stay or should I go", which was showed to be his favorite song (the season possibly starting off with a flashback)
B. Max trapped in Vecna's mind trying to escape, singing "Running Up That Hill" which was also her favorite song and helped her escape from Vecna before.
It could be Max in her coma singing Running Up That Hill trying to get out and “The Crawl” could be referring to Max trying to crawl out of her coma
Child's voice though?
My theory is that the crawl episode would be like monsters crawling into hawkins from the massive gate that we saw at the last episode when the 4 gates that vecna created became one,idk tho
The crawl might also have something to do with spiders, like spiders crawling. They play a role in Vecna's life and I wouldn't be surprised if there are some weird spider creatures in the Upside Down.
In D n D it's called a Dungeon Crawl and the Duffers have used lots of D n D terms before. "A dungeon crawl is a type of scenario in which heroes navigate a labyrinth environment, battling various monsters, avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and looting any treasure they may find.
It's the word for the "Start" and why I agree with the video as we will go back to beginning of the dungeon to find what we missed as our group has done the above, lost players, figured out puzzles, battled monsters, had players in low health or need to rest/restore powers, avoid traps, etc. and this episode would be the beginning of the dungeon crawl and what key info we missed. Some our of players have died as well as NPC's. It's a "back to the beginning" episode imo with a child's child's voice that started this all. Could it even be 001 trying to cope? and Will reminded him of himself?

It really was a fantastic reveal. This is so major. It will be great going back to that moment, and seeing what it was like for him there.
Also, could it be Vecna making him have a flash back?
The scene is probably with the younger will in the Upside Down while singing the song that jonathan used to play to calm himself, something big will probably happen that will set the course of the rest of the series, similar to Season 4's opening scene with Eleven. Im pretty sure eleven will stay the main character but I think Will, is going to be a very large character, sort of like Max in Season 4

@@moonside3880 No, it's not. If you check the screentime data(for the entire show) Eleven has the most screentime, Jim Hopper number 2, and Nancy Wheeler number 3. The Four Kids were the main characters in season one not so much in the others. That's why Eleven is always the largest on the posters.
Will has always been able to feel Vecna, but I think it's more than that. He wasn't left alive by Demigorgens and such when no one else was by accident. Those things ripped people apart. We know he was left as a spy, but he was left for another purpose and he was able to stop the entire time cycle and date and he repeats the song "should I stay or should I go?" and the date is frozen in time!!!!! It's all on repeat!!!!

is there a possibility its max singing running up that hill in some mind space similar to the grave site vecna casted in her mind in episode 4? or is it outright confirmed its will singing should i stay or should i go? would be one of many possible great plot twists for us

i think it will be Will singing in the scene where hes laying in the uspide down and it will show why Will's so connected with vecna and why he chose Will possibly in the scene we never got to see Edit: i think maybe max will be tied in with something to do with this , i think she might see what happened to will while in her coma in like a third person and shes kinda connected with will and vecna and she cant tell anybody what she sees because shes in a coma ..

That's pretty genius, I like that idea. Although Max is in Vecna's red soup world, "darknes" could refer to the void and that Max is seeing a vision of the Upside Down. Or darkness could just refer to a blank screen or the actual Upside Down
They have said Will is gonna be a major character in season 5..so got a feeling it is Will.. they have said it's gonna have the tone and vibe of seasons 1 and 2 too, where Will is a big focus

And sense we never got an understanding of how he survived in there and how his connection with vecna came about. Part of me feels like vecna might try to use him to kill the others or the others might have to kill him to get rid of vecna on some Harry Potter Voldemort type shit. Part of vecna lives in will. I can’t wait for season 5

My bets are on Will singing "Should I stay or Should I go" when he's in the upside down the first time when we don't see him in most of S1 but mostly hear from finally on Joyce's phone as well as the Walkie Talkie of Mike's as well as that ham radio in the AV club thanks to Eleven.
My assumption:
Vecna showed Nancy what's going to happen, and he did mention holly (her sister) and Nancy knew how to get rid of vecna (definitely by singing the song) so she taught holly and that singing child is Holly right here.
The interesting thing is, how will knew it in the very beginning that singing can save him, barbra can't save herself but william did.
I told Y'all Vecna kidnapped Will because he wanted a friend.

I tought of this out of nowhere and it’s probably not true since they had to know they were gonna create Vecna in season 1 and stuff but, what if the shadow monster we saw was indeed Vecna. I think when Will is taken by the Demogorgon in this flashback, we’ll see Vecna observing this. That he made the Demogorgon put him in that nest thing in the Upside Down version of the library. In addition, we can see a flashback of when Will was telling the Mind Flayer “GO AWAY!” and even though Will wouldn’t hear him, Vecna says “No” before putting the particles in Will’s body.
THIS SHOW!!! Im 51 and watch with my granddaughter Im so happy we got to both experience and come to LOVE ST together...its definitely her generations iconic stand out shows the Duffers are amazing and we cant wait!❤It would be cool to see what happened to Will in the Upside Down. Ive been wondering about this play in London showing Hopper, Joyce and Bob as teens and Bob's sister and Henry Creel liking one another...they say this play lays everything out for season 5 could it be possible that Linda Hamiltons role be Bobs sister and knows more to help defeat Vecna/ Henry? Eeeee I cant wait❤

I'm going to say eleven is going to sacrifice herself and destroy Vecna and become the new "ruler " of the upside down. And I stead of it being a dark place she will make it like a paradise all the people who died will comeback and be with eleven😂 I doubt this is what will happen just a theory

And based off of d&d I also feel like Eddie could 100% take the role of the vampire. He doesn’t have those bat tattoos on his arm in real life. The duffer brothers set that up for a reason, my man got eaten by bats. Like if he doesn’t become a “vampire version” or evil version of himself in season 5 it’s a whole story that they missed out on in my opinion, if they can revive our guy dr brenner 100 times then idk why vecna doesn’t revive Eddie. The vampire in d&d sacrifices himself to vecna and Eddie did that in a way. Yes sacrificing him self for the team and being a hero, but those bats are connected to vecna so he also gave himself to vecna so idk I hope they do something along these lines it’s a dream I know but it makes too much sense, vecna would end up fighting Eddie like how in d&d vecna fights his vampire lieutenant Kas over the betrayal Kas committed to vecna

I think that they’re gonna show us in the opening sequence that the real Will Byers is still in the upside down and that’s what he was trying to tell Mike the whole season is that he’s not the real Will. He is a copy from the upside down. I think the whole theory that he was trying to tell Mike that he was gay would just completely take away from the amazing reveal about Robin. It would cheapen her whole arc to revealing her sexuality. I know there’s gonna be a bunch of angry people that really really want Will Byers to be telling Mike that he’s gay but I think he’s trying to tell Mike that he’s not the real Will and that the real Will is still in the upside down connected to some sort of Vecna life-support. 2 cents . If he's a fake clone sent by Venca, why would he be trying to let Mike know? Wouldn't the clone be serving Vecna?
For one thing, they’re gonna have to deepfake Noah Schnapp’s face onto a kid like they did with Eleven’s flashback scenes in Season 4. Millie Bobby Brown didn’t go through much facial changes through puberty, but Noah Schnapp looks so much different in Season 1 compared to Season 4 and it’d look weird for his adult face to be on a kid.

I know the rest but if you’re referring to this song being in the opening scene it didn’t come out until 1984. Not trying to assume what you’re implying or stating it’s just information.
I think it is definitely going to start like that, but if it doesn't, I think it will start like this. Max is running from something in the upsidedown getting tiered, as she's running she's quietly mumbling running up that hill to herself when she feels an earthquake. About 300 feet in front of her a crack opens in the sky. She looks back realizing she had stoped and that things chasing her were getting closer. She continues running and makes it to the crack. This crack is is where the sky and ground meet. She sees that outside the crack and realizes she needs to crawl through. As she struggles to crawl out the things chasing her grab her foot and we see this creature is the demobats trying to drag her back into the upsidedown. We cut to a shot from the real world of the crack and max's hand reaches out. The screen goes black. Then we see a shot of max in her coma. It slowly zooms in on her and she suddenly opens her eyes. Then it cuts to the stranger things intro.
I feel like every time we're in the upside down there is no wind around. The biking riding parts don't count in my opinion. The air around them is almost always very still there. The particles float in the characters faces. Sounds more like this child is in the regular world from this to me. It could be a young El singing- You don't mess around with Jim when she goes out to see Mike and 001 is watching her. Maybe it's dear Dustin singing Never Ending Story as a kid outside somewhere. It could be any of the 15ish main characters as a child singing a song they have played on the show before. Holly would be a cute chose but it feels less likely because she isn't a main character.

I really don't know why but I think it could be Holly (Mike and Nancy's little sister). They barely showed her in all the seasons and kinda showed her a lot more in season 4. But like everyone says it could be Will again. I just can't wait for it to finally come out 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Well she did notice the Christmas lights flickering when Mrs Walker and Holly went to Joyce's to see how she was with Will's disappearance. So maybe Holly heard Will sing as well but the Duffer Brothers didn't want us to know it yet so it is plausible.
@@Marqaisa There were some scientific theories back in the day in real life of course maybe still is, but that children under the age of 5 who are still developing their brains, that they could see or hear things that human beings after the age of 10 wouldn't be able to witness. Just like how animals might see the paranormal world. Maybe Holly did hear Will sing without needing a radio transmission or Eleven's void. It's definitely hinted at because the Byers' dog (who's been missing ever since Season 2) did know that Will was hiding in the backyard shack at first before going to Castle Byers

What if this is what they did between 11 and Henry in season 4? For example, What if they show Will Byers meeting Henry, and throughout the season, flashbacks of Will turning him into Vecna, and then setting the whole world of the upside down as his fantasy DND because he is stuck in the past never wanting to grow up. WHAT IF VECNA IS WILL BYER'S GENERAL?! This could also explain the Demigorgon not getting him until right before Joyce and Hopper get there.

@@C.r212 Sadie Sink does have the voice of a child so it may refer to Max. I'm personally 50/50 with Max and Will when it comes to who I think is in this opening scene.
