They finally got these tracks in decent condition after doing all of that tie replacement!! I haven't seen them go that fast in years! If they can get some customers on the old S-Line, this railroad would be really nice again. They've actually been maintaining the crossing gates south of the wye, but the trackage is in rough shape around the philipi creek trestle bridge (minor fire damage actually!) and farther south of that.
Hey Andrew! I now live in Florida not far from this railroad's right of way in Ft. Myers. They have a tourist murder-mystery dinner train during tourist season. Not much traffic on the Seminole in Ft. Myers. I live in Ft. Myers Beach on "the island" as they say.
@@Chicagojoe28 It does not pay to maintain tracks that generate so little income. I know. I used to work for the C&NW - Cheap & Nothin' Wasted RR! The C&NW would not maintain track unless it paid to do it.

How often does the Seminole golf operate in Sarasota?

Thank you for an entetaing video. Wonder what the price of that hose is at the crossing. Hope the peopke are train buffs.
Great video!
Thanks!
Do you ever think they might fix some of the tracks?
Yes they have been fixing them. Although they work just fine for the SLRG's needs.
