What’s powering that Supra? I’m almost finished 2JZ GTE swapping mine. I’m having trouble with the transmission though. I’ve heard I can use a 350Z 6 speed but it takes some effort and extra parts.
I cannot believe I own this exact same model supra in the same color. She's just a boring NA motor, but it goes to show that this platform is god-like.
I have two A70 supras and they are becoming unobtainable. Keep yours; as people are finally coming back to respect these cars after writing them off as "not Supras" for the last 30 years lol.
@@somedude9316 Yeah, after the interest/price spike of about 2017-2020, I feel that they will be classic status by the end of this decade. I have zero plans to ever sell her, mostly because with the $8K purchase price (at 115K miles) I over all have $22K into her (no touching engine internals or paint yet!) A70 Supras are far from unobtainable, just ones that were actually taken care of or not fail projects. I've never remotely owned any car that looks this cool inside and out nor is this well designed and gets the level of attention it does. They are truly something legendary. What about your MK3s? Any story to those? I bought mine with the headgasket and valves re-done, but there are some little issues that aren't easy to solve with how rare parts are.
@@Theoriginal2jzmk3supra the A70 is the chassis for original supra, dork. Its a mk3 supra. Before 86 they were part of the celica lineage, as a lot of other toyota models were, originally. Even the camry.
Is that an American auto transmission in that mkiii? I don't think I've ever seen an MK3 take off so quick. Usually they lose at least a second or two at the line spinning.
At this level of racing there are tons of options on the table for automatics; everything is rebuilt and is running off of something like a Megasquirt/Megashift or haltechs. You can get hella built A340E automatics (but they're very expensive.).
3:52 I have seen her white GT-R R35 at the Texas TK2 events on videos. I still wonder if she worked at DreamWorks. I could never find an answer. I only ask because I worked at Pixar in Summer 2019 for he internship, and I saw cars that would have Pixar and Disney stickers. One guy had a huge Forky toy hanging on the back of his jeep. It was the size of a small kid haha.

I have one we bought new same color just converted it to 1JZGTE Ill start slow and build my way up to this level. Holy Shit!!! Even 9s and 10s is good for me.
