Very nice, Ossa. Congratulations on acquiring this rarity! I own two of them. One converted to a production sport bike in the late sixties. All the original parts to rebuild it are still there. The second is in parts on the shelf. You can find videos about it on my channel.
Ossa ran in the Grand Prixs from 1966 to 1970 with a 250cc single they had a couple of wins which is very credible considering the multi cylinder machines they were up against the death of Santago Herreo their rider caused them to pull out of GP's never to return, a 230cc sport won the production TT race in the Isle of Man in 1967. The GP bike was unusual in as much as it used a monocoque alloy frame, it incorporated disc valve induction but clearly this was a bike that relied on it's power to weight ratio as it could never match the top bikes on power.
I can assure you that!, my family had cinematographs (that's what they were called then) since 1928. OSSA projectors (Orpheo Sincronic Sociedad Anónima) maintained their market share in Spain until after the 60s, just when their market declined, they entered the motorcycle sector, of course I had my first Ossa 160 GT inherited from my older brother, since that first I always had "two wheels" Ossa, Bultaco, Montesa and some "Italians" Benelli, MV and several Laverdas. I am Spanish, I was born in Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Barcelona), at 74 years old, I am still walking with my youth companions...
Nice 👍 I had a 250 MAR trials long ago. I wish i kept It. Does that Ossa have Motoplat CD ignition or points condenser? I had old Motoplat go bad from old bikes . On mine the flywheel key had sheared one day on trials course. It started after backfire but was running backwards since timing was way off. I didn't know this and when I let clutch out I went over bars in reverse 😂
Hello, it is not a sanglas, it is another brand, sanglas are 4-stroke engines of 350, 400 and 500 cc, there is a 250 cc model but it is sanglas rovena, ossa, montesa, bultaco, derbi etc. manufactured two-stroke engines and in models Very old, the gears were on the right foot and the brake was on the left foot. ✌️
It's old gold. A road going two stroke. They ain't making any more.
Right on, man!
they made great trail bikes
That was fun! Cool of you to let us ride with you...Thanks Dave!
Glad you enjoyed it. The ride videos are not the most popular, but I still like making them.

The Wildfire is points
When's last you rode this? ❤
When I made this video, but then I drained the fuel in the tank and carburetor. It should store well. Still have it, yes.
@bullpencycles are you waiting for the value to go up 😆 🤣
"It's a bear!"
