The simulation theory i think would make more sense if you said "me" instead of "we". It actually ties in pretty well with another theory that says life is just a single conscious mind living every single life that ever existed or will simultaneously.

You still have to take singing lessons even if you're good at singing. It's important to keep practicing to hone your skills and maintain your ability. It's like saying athletes don't have to work out because they're already strong. Your diaphragm is a muscle, and it needs constant work to maintain its strength. Source: I took singing lessons for years, stopped for years, and now my singing isn't as good any more.
That wasn't the point of the fact. Of course practicing or working out is important. What they're saying is it's who you know and not what you know. I worked in the film industry and my best friend in the music industry and it's true.
