Today we're introducing you to the Mango, especially the Tommy Mango! The Tommy Atkins Mango is the most common mango found in US supermarkets because they have a good shelf life and are resistant to disease.⛑
Some people say it’s somewhat bland, but that’s primarily because most imported mangoes are harvested prematurely without the flavor having fully developed.
If you want to taste mango heaven, go to South America and pick up a ripe Tommy Atkins that naturally fell off the tree. It has a balanced sweetness, has less of the annoying fibers that get stuck in your teeth, and is just oh-so-juicy🤤
