When you prefer Unturned to MGS, that's a bad sign for MGS lol. I love Unturned (675 hours geez), I haven't played any MG games sadly but seems like at least for Survive I've made the right choice. If you ever wanted to play Unturned (for a video or otherwise) i'd be glad to join you! It's much better in multiplayer.
3 things. Player should be able to run longer, indefinitely, or at least have longer stamina. More variety in zombies, not just fence and poke. Make scavenging less of a hassle and faster. With these three improvement the net play experience can potentially reach a positive return.
And overkill's Raid WW2 that one died expectedly aswell, because using the same outdated engine again after Payday 2 was on it's last legs was a bad Idea.

Yep this game is so bad I grew up on metal gear but when they boot kojima from the Dev team and the game just goes to shit yeah no its obviously just a cash grab because of how good the franchise was they knew everyone would buy it when it first came out no matter how bad it was
A literal raven Metal Gear Ghost Babel (arguably the best in the series), Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Platinum had full control, Kojima’s influence was kept to a minimum), Portable Ops (he wasnt directing or even writing), AC!D series (niche card game spinoff), and Survive (fuck all y’all its actually fun). I know this is a super old reply on an even older comment thread, but Jesus Christ, Kojima isn’t the sole reason for this series being good.
The funny thing is that the sudden focus towards franchised pachinko machines and derivative games that only bank on the past success of their franchises had lead to speculation that Konami was the target of a hostile takeover from the Japanese mafia. When you see their microtransaction model for this game, it's actually somewhat plausible.

Out of all the complaints about MGSurvive I can say that the stamina penalty for sneaking isn't really one. Crouch walking and crawling on the ground is nowhere as effortless as Snake makes it look. Especially when you're geared up. On that note: Crouch walking with your hands behind your head is a pretty good core workout.
"Where do zombies fit in?" - Hideo The Skull unit uses the vocal chord parasite mist to turn dead soilders into zombies that turn into dust after they are killed again in MGS5, Liquid Ocelot uses G.O.P. to turn nanomachine injected soilders into zombies in MGS4, There is a river of ghosts that try to kill you as you walk down of the enemies you killed before that point in MGS3. - Also Hideo Let's be honest, survive wasn't a great gaiden, but it's dumb bullshit story isn't anything Hideo hasn't already put in the MGS games. Except maybe time travel.
no the zombified soldiers are not dead or turn to dust, they are cured once you extract them to motherbase or kill the Skulls which are controlling the vocal cord parasites

The game is actually really solid, and I get that people who avidly played or play the Metal Gear games don't like this game because it's not the same type of game (and should have been rebranded) but gameplay wise it's entertaining if you give it a chance, virgil-the robot- gets annoying I agree, but you make the tutorial out to be worse than it was, and it didn't interrupt the flow, and was usually useful. Did you look at the audio logs from the lead scientist or the comms specialist? They added an interesting bit of story and were really cool. The sneak penalty was stupid, I agree with that as well. I enjoyed the game and a friend of mine and I played multiplayer together, and it was challenging on harder difficulties, and was really fun. I enjoyed the video, however, I disagree with your views. To close my analysis of some of the important points, the stealth penalty and the branding as a metal gear game were dumb, the game wasn't bad from a gameplay perspective and provided challenging fights at points, also the ingame currency isn't necessary to play, that's how he made it sound and is wrong, the campaign was cool, finally multiplayer is a highlight of the game and allows for an easier experience in solo, (you don't even need other people in multiplayer to do well, although they help and make it more fun) i'll understand if you disagree with me, but from an unbiased perspective, being mine considering I play games of this genre quite often, this isn't a bad title, but they should have rebranded it as something else
Just wanted to ask, have you ever crouch walked while carrying an oil drum or tried to crawl with a full load out. Trust me, it's more draining than walking around. Only ask because you don't look like the type to do much TEA in real life.

The thing is, a Metal Gear-spinoff with zombies could have worked, if they bothered to come up a decent scenario for it by actually applying zombie outbreak-storyline to Metal Gear-universe, figuring out what would go down in that and how all the characters we've come to know and love would react to it, ala Yakuza Dead Souls. Stuff like Snake running into a zombie and having his trademark casual baffled reaction followed by a reference to the Night of Living Dead or something, Otacon getting jumped by the undead, hiding in a locker and possibly pissing himself, Raiden slicing walking corpses left and right and maybe having to fight zombiefied Gray Fox, Liquid (and/or) Ocelot being over the moon by the endless source of fighting and conflict the outbreak would provide, Naomi and Sunny running around attempting to find a cure, Vamp being amused by a run in with other tropy horror creatures, Mei Ling getting proverbial about states of life and death etc. But nooo, let's just throw bunch of randos without distinct personalities into a parallel dimension, where they can fight zombies in a setting ripped straigth out of Phantom Pain, with mechanics and assets that have Metal Gear-brand coat of paint splashed over them.
I don't think you gave this game a fair shake. You yourself said you don't have many hours logged on the game. I understand why you feel the way you do. That said...I enjoy this game immensely because it forces you to think in the broad picture and about the what if's vs the here and now. Same, I've got 63 hours in it. It's a blast with friends, but unfortunately that will only take you so far. Doesn't help that every e-celeb "reviewer" was shitting on the game for views. Someone is making a Co-op mod though, so that's pretty cool. I'll probably start playing it again once that comes out
The game was actually pretty neat and the tower defence portion (9/10 of the game) was solid, but then they took their already small community and tried to squeeze em for cash before bailing out. I dont need to give you the details, I'm sure you've seen the like before.
And what's really sad? Some people out there think Konami is better off without Kojima. And that Metal Gear Survive is a "welcome addition". Those poor souls.

There have always been scientific explanations for supernatural things in metal gear. They had a vampire, and a psychic as well as people who could punch literal lightning bolts into people using technology and nanomachines as a basis but nobody cried.

I think people are overly sensitive to the MG franchise, and Kojima. I love MG, and I'm kind of happy it's done with - looking forward to Death Stranding! But I found Survive an enjoyable game, and found that the stealth elements were actually much better than in 5 that just didn't punish you at all and gave you access to way too much fire power. Survive's longterm issue was it needed a better and larger focus on singleplayer content. But overal, it touched on gameplay elements I've only found in the State of Decay games, and in that it actually did it better. Sure Konima are cunts, but Kojima is no Angel - he treated Hayter like crap, has pretty cringe worthy portrayals of female characters etc. A game can be many things, Survive was the B rated action movie that some hated and some loved, but no body should take seriously... but in this case everyone has a hypocritical stick up their arse about.
I don't know what's happening with me, I just have an huge obsession with old games, I just finished the classic and remakes of the resident evil games within my time in quarantine and played mgs2,3,4,GZ,5 but not metal gear survive, I don't live in the wrong time, I just like old stuff.

I got it the end where you destroy the gigantic Human Centipede Wanderer thing. I quit tho i couldn’t beat it. It was somehow harder than getting that damn giant rail gun off that mech. Like 13 mins of protecting, the last 5 mins I lost all ammo and just sat there backstabbing every thing hopping stray bombshells don’t break the teleported.
You can tell how much people have played of this game from reviews based on if they only know of afghanistan and still think its an alternate dimension.
I know right I think there is so much more criticism out there than this game deservers because of its name and people not being able to get through the slow first few hours

It's such a high contrast between this game and TPP. MGSV is one of those few games that almost every time that I pick up by the end of the session I don't want to put it down at all, because it's so much fun. Survive is so boring that I don't want to pick it up to start with, AT ALL.
You know what, I was thinking about buying this game but... no... I just think if Metal Gear Survive wasn’t a Metal Gear game it would be fine because some aspects of the game are admirable such as how the fences bend as the Zombies relentlessly push on and climb it to get in, I think they should have made it totally different and didn’t have to resort to slapping on a popular title they own the rights to
The series never failed to amaze me as a kid, the first one was basically 50% of my childhood, the 2nd was still good but not as hard hitting as the first.. and snake eater? By far a tile given to us years before it’s time 👍🏻
A few of these points are fair but I gotta bring up something. It's called Metal Gear Survive, you survive in it. It's a spin off that's on par with Metal Gear Revengence. The game surprisingly is pretty fun, especially with co-op.
I agree its actually a really enjoyable game but everyone wants to bandwagon and say its bad i completely disagree with this guy connor maybe if you played it more and got deeper in the gameplay would of enjoyed it more.
Kojima is overrated mgs has been generic and shitty since mgs3 all that hype for death stranding and it is laughably bad just another shit game that makes zero since...
i actually find this game really enjoyable. When i dont have anything better to do, i like to join a multiplayer match (when i can find one) or call a friend to join me. I believe it was worth every penny from the 4 dollars that i payed for it
one of the biggest problems with this game, in my opinion, is that the best part of it is the end game, but it takes some grinding to get there, so a lot of people just give up because of it. i dont think this game is a good metal gear game (well yeah, everyone already knows that), and its not the best survival game by a mile, but i really like the tower defense part of the game. Different of what Shaw said, guns have a big part in the game, just not in the early game (and that makes me believe that he didn't played a lot of the game, but i dont blame him), because of how scarce ammo is, but later on, you will have bullets for days, and you will have to use them, because the hide behind a fence and poke it until its dead strategy will not work, because of the special enemies
but yeah, fuck that always online bullshit and the microtransaction for a second player slot, if you dont want do buy the game for those reasons, i can tottaly understand, konami doesn't give a shit for us
I am one of those 64 players on Steam with 224 hours playtime (and counting) and just stumbled upon this vid. To give a bit of context, I have around 600h on GZ and TPP combined, finished and own every main entry in the series, same goes for much of the spin-offs and still playing TPP daily with mods. I'm also involved in TPP's (and MGV) modding scene. While much of the criticism towards the game is true (lackluster story, tedious early-game, always online, mtx...), there's a lot of bad faith in that review-ish as well. Hear me out on this: MGV is literally a co-op PVE mode for MGS TPP. Based on the assets we (the modding community of TPP) managed to gather, the single player portion was made in one year because people complained about the fact it didn't have one. So yeah, it has a bunch of "rough edges". Still, if you enjoy TPP's gameplay loop (which is also grindy btw), you'll find a game that's mechanically deeper than it looks. Unfortunately the game does such a bad job at explaining some core mechanics that many, many people, including popular reviewers, didn't get very far and never even had good enough stuff to try the coop missions, which is the meat of the game. The end game is just as much amazing as the early game is bad, tedious and grindy. True, you won't find anyone to play with using the game's matchmaking (on PC that is), but you're just a Steam group away from finding players. And that's where the real fun begins. That's why I'm still playing this game, even though I bought it for dirt cheap just to try it, and was a "fuck Konami" dude like many others. What I'm getting at is that coop is where it's at. It's like saying a Call of Duty game is bad because too short - but you only played the campaign. If you give it a sincere try, you'll be surprised. Maybe you won't like it regardless which is fine, but that'll most likely change your mind on quite a few things. Just wanted to give a bit perspective as to why some people still play it ;) Cheers!
This is reviewers being reviewers. Most of them don't dive into a game before pushing out their "opinion". I played every single MSG game and MG Surive is not the worst one by any means. I have more time into it than TPP by a long short. People just like to shit on this game with little to non experience in it.
Problem I think is people play TPP and finish the main the story but those same people aren't grinding to build up FOB's and going for 100% so when they play Survive they struggle to play a repetitive slow gameplay loop, most people are giving up before actually getting to the part of grinding for gear, they quit very quickly thinking it's just a fence and spear game. Those same people praise TPP but they haven't seemed to have played after the story, because once you start playing to max 4 FOB'S, go for all S rank + staff and try to develop all weapons and items it very quickly turns into repeated grinding just like Survive. Personally I haven't been playing Survive very long but I'm having fun so far, it's nice to play it in between grinding 100% and FOB's
@@Celric_Death I agree, the road to 100% in TPP is also extremely grindy and there's no way around it - even if you buy MB coins, you will have to repeat the same side ops over and over farming S rank guys, and FOBs for S+/S++ - if you play vanilla/on consoles that is. In Survive you can easily get boosted by other player who are much higher lvl than you, and basically min-max the Hard & Extreme and Daily Missions. You get Epic gear real fast that way. To be fair the grind was insane at release, but they dialed it back seeing that the playerbase was low, both with the daily/weekly rewards & the ability to dismantle Epic and Legendary gear to craft whatever you need. Whatever platform you play on, hope you'll have fun dude! Steam still have a small but active playerbase with friendly people, check out the Metal Gear Survive steam group if you play on PC ;)
Yes man, haha 😂 I played the shit out of Metal Gear Survive. I’ve completed more than 500 Salvage Missions with the Top 100 People back on Xbox One. Someone introduced me to the Resource Glitch where I myself Carry over 50,000 lbs of Resources that make Ammo, Fences, and Turrets and deposit it into the Workbench before the matches / Waves start. Then I immediately Quit the Game/Close The Game Application and go into Single Player to RE-DEPOSIT my own Resources into my Mother Base and then I rejoin my Friends again while still having all my Resources desposited into my Single Player Home Base & Duplicated into the Multiplayer Salvage Mission’s Crafting Bench. We really need all the Shotgun Bullets, Sniper Bullets, Fences and Gatling Turrets we can produce in order to beat the EXTREME Missions with ease. I’ve already gotten all I could out of a Game like Metal Gear Survive and grinded over 400+ Purple Armor Cases and Golden Armor Cases. It was pretty awesome, not gonna lie. Last time I played it was in July 2019 and now in February 2022, I am slowly getting back into it again. I don’t know if I might continue doing Missions on Xbox One or restart all over on PS4 Survive. :)
Barely got back to playing it on my PS4 today after not playing for years. Man I missed this game, I agree that the earth game is frustrating, but I killed the lord of the dust and have 3/4 of the battle dress armor (pre-return to playing) and today just upgraded my base, and gear. It’s still fun, but people don’t realize that it’s called Metal Gear *SURVIVE*, not solid, it’s a spin off that is about survival. Why do you think Metal Gear Rising didn’t have solid in the name? Because it’s a metal gear game hack and slash, like survive is a metal gear survival game
I just bought this game on sale today on Steam and haven't been able to put it down, been enjoying the depth of the survival aspect much and those glorious MGS5 mechanics... Oh well to each their own
2:31 4 MGS titles that Kojima worked on had zombies in them. MGS3 - The Sorrow sequence, MGS4 - The sequence where you drive on top of BMP and defend, MGS5 - enemy soldiers and even the MB soldiers were zombies after getting infected. So I don't know where zombies fit into MGS. Probably Kojima knows

i love how they had to create a huge portal out of nowhere on top the old MSF mother base, in stead of just explaining how an experiment went wrong on the new DD mother base, while they were developing the black hole extraction kit you can unlock on MGSV
I got Xbox Game Pass for $1 and this was on it so I said screw it and decided to play, I honestly kinda like the game. Maybe it’s the fact that I went in with the expectation that it was going to be an absolutely terrible game, but the looting is kinda addicting and the combat feels real familiar since it’s just a MGSV reskin. I’d never pay for it but it’s definitely something I don’t mind playing for a few hours despite its flaws.

I remember buying this when it first released and played it for ages. Only until recently I started playing it again and I feel SO lost. Also does anyone still play anymore? I may be looking for lobbies at the worst times so far but I want to give it a real chance to finish it.
Any reviewer who doesn't mention Trackers and Mortars and how they dealt with those is a failure as a reviewer. Hit square on the craft menu to make large amounts of ammo in quick succession. Fence and poke becomes worthless against later enemies. Plenty of food options buff and grant abilities like stamina and health regen. This isn't Tactical esPiONagE ACtiOn!!!, it's survival. I still play this every now and then on PS4. It's not the best, but if a Survive 2 was made, I'd buy it.
Now, kojima, you made zombies for metal gear solid 5 whenever human troops are around the skulls. Don’t go saying shit when you yourself ok’d zombies in the game that came out only 2 years prior. Which, by your words, was all thought through before working on the 1st game back in the 80’s. That is all the criticism i have for the guy.

Dude is sitting there slamming the game because he doesnt like it. There are many mechanics in this game that are actually really great. The reason you run out of stamina while you crouch and crawl is because you make less noise. They make it so you have to pay attention and slow your gameplay down to not make it easy. Just because you’re not good at a game or it’s not one that you like personally does not make it a bad game. I would love to get a squad together and run some events and co-op. Out of all the complaints about MGSurvive I can say that the stamina penalty for sneaking isn't really one.
Crouch walking and crawling on the ground is nowhere as effortless as Snake makes it look. Especially when you're geared up.

The game is actually really solid, and I get that people who avidly played or play the Metal Gear games don't like this game because it's not the same type of game (and should have been rebranded) but gameplay wise it's entertaining if you give it a chance, virgil-the robot- gets annoying I agree, but you make the tutorial out to be worse than it was, and it didn't interrupt the flow, and was usually useful. Did you look at the audio logs from the lead scientist or the comms specialist? They added an interesting bit of story and were really cool. The sneak penalty was stupid, I agree with that as well. I enjoyed the game and a friend of mine and I played multiplayer together, and it was challenging on harder difficulties, and was really fun. I enjoyed the video, however, I disagree with your views. To close my analysis of some of the important points, the stealth penalty and the branding as a metal gear game were dumb, the game wasn't bad from a gameplay perspective and provided challenging fights at points, also the ingame currency isn't necessary to play, that's how he made it sound and is wrong, the campaign was cool, finally multiplayer is a highlight of the game and allows for an easier experience in solo, (you don't even need other people in multiplayer to do well, although they help and make it more fun) i'll understand if you disagree with me, but from an unbiased perspective, being mine considering I play games of this genre quite often, this isn't a bad title, but they should have rebranded it as something else

The thing is, a Metal Gear-spinoff with zombies could have worked, if they bothered to come up a decent scenario for it by actually applying zombie outbreak-storyline to Metal Gear-universe, figuring out what would go down in that and how all the characters we've come to know and love would react to it, ala Yakuza Dead Souls.
Stuff like Snake running into a zombie and having his trademark casual baffled reaction followed by a reference to the Night of Living Dead or something, Otacon getting jumped by the undead, hiding in a locker and possibly pissing himself, Raiden slicing walking corpses left and right and maybe having to fight zombiefied Gray Fox, Liquid (and/or) Ocelot being over the moon by the endless source of fighting and conflict the outbreak would provide, Naomi and Sunny running around attempting to find a cure, Vamp being amused by a run in with other tropy horror creatures, Mei Ling getting proverbial about states of life and death etc.
But nooo, let's just throw bunch of randos without distinct personalities into a parallel dimension, where they can fight zombies in a setting ripped straigth out of Phantom Pain, with mechanics and assets that have Metal Gear-brand coat of paint splashed over them.
I don't think you gave this game a fair shake. You yourself said you don't have many hours logged on the game. I understand why you feel the way you do. That said...I enjoy this game immensely because it forces you to think in the broad picture and about the what if's vs the here and now. Same, I've got 63 hours in it. It's a blast with friends, but unfortunately that will only take you so far. Doesn't help that every e-celeb "reviewer" was shitting on the game for views. Someone is making a Co-op mod though, so that's pretty cool. I'll probably start playing it again once that comes out
The game was actually pretty neat and the tower defence portion (9/10 of the game) was solid, but then they took their already small community and tried to squeeze em for cash before bailing out. I dont need to give you the details, I'm sure you've seen the like before.
And what's really sad? Some people out there think Konami is better off without Kojima. And that Metal Gear Survive is a "welcome addition". Those poor souls.

I think people are overly sensitive to the MG franchise, and Kojima. I love MG, and I'm kind of happy it's done with - looking forward to Death Stranding!
But I found Survive an enjoyable game, and found that the stealth elements were actually much better than in 5 that just didn't punish you at all and gave you access to way too much fire power.
Survive's longterm issue was it needed a better and larger focus on singleplayer content.
But overal, it touched on gameplay elements I've only found in the State of Decay games, and in that it actually did it better.
Sure Konima are cunts, but Kojima is no Angel - he treated Hayter like crap, has pretty cringe worthy portrayals of female characters etc.
A game can be many things, Survive was the B rated action movie that some hated and some loved, but no body should take seriously... but in this case everyone has a hypocritical stick up their arse about.
I don't know what's happening with me, I just have an huge obsession with old games, I just finished the classic and remakes of the resident evil games within my time in quarantine and played mgs2,3,4,GZ,5 but not metal gear survive, I don't live in the wrong time, I just like old stuff.

i just wanna make one correction. the game has received new content in the past un the form of event, weapons and a game mode. they start deleting old patch notes after a while. however, we havnt had anything substantial in the past few months

MGSV is one of those few games that almost every time that I pick up by the end of the session I don't want to put it down at all, because it's so much fun.
Survive is so boring that I don't want to pick it up to start with, AT ALL.
The only reason I stopped playing was the portal defense mission you had to do in between the other story missions I actually really enjoyed it

i actually find this game really enjoyable. When i dont have anything better to do, i like to join a multiplayer match (when i can find one) or call a friend to join me. I believe it was worth every penny from the 4 dollars that i payed for it
one of the biggest problems with this game, in my opinion, is that the best part of it is the end game, but it takes some grinding to get there, so a lot of people just give up because of it. i dont think this game is a good metal gear game (well yeah, everyone already knows that), and its not the best survival game by a mile, but i really like the tower defense part of the game. Different of what Shaw said, guns have a big part in the game, just not in the early game (and that makes me believe that he didn't played a lot of the game, but i dont blame him), because of how scarce ammo is, but later on, you will have bullets for days, and you will have to use them, because the hide behind a fence and poke it until its dead strategy will not work, because of the special enemies
but yeah, fuck that always online bullshit and the microtransaction for a second player slot, if you dont want do buy the game for those reasons, i can tottaly understand, konami doesn't give a shit for us

I am one of those 64 players on Steam with 224 hours playtime (and counting) and just stumbled upon this vid. To give a bit of context, I have around 600h on GZ and TPP combined, finished and own every main entry in the series, same goes for much of the spin-offs and still playing TPP daily with mods. I'm also involved in TPP's (and MGV) modding scene.
While much of the criticism towards the game is true (lackluster story, tedious early-game, always online, mtx...), there's a lot of bad faith in that review-ish as well. Hear me out on this:
MGV is literally a co-op PVE mode for MGS TPP. Based on the assets we (the modding community of TPP) managed to gather, the single player portion was made in one year because people complained about the fact it didn't have one. So yeah, it has a bunch of "rough edges".
Still, if you enjoy TPP's gameplay loop (which is also grindy btw), you'll find a game that's mechanically deeper than it looks. Unfortunately the game does such a bad job at explaining some core mechanics that many, many people, including popular reviewers, didn't get very far and never even had good enough stuff to try the coop missions, which is the meat of the game. The end game is just as much amazing as the early game is bad, tedious and grindy.
True, you won't find anyone to play with using the game's matchmaking (on PC that is), but you're just a Steam group away from finding players. And that's where the real fun begins. That's why I'm still playing this game, even though I bought it for dirt cheap just to try it, and was a "fuck Konami" dude like many others. What I'm getting at is that coop is where it's at. It's like saying a Call of Duty game is bad because too short - but you only played the campaign. If you give it a sincere try, you'll be surprised. Maybe you won't like it regardless which is fine, but that'll most likely change your mind on quite a few things.

This is reviewers being reviewers. Most of them don't dive into a game before pushing out their "opinion". I played every single MSG game and MG Surive is not the worst one by any means. I have more time into it than TPP by a long short. People just like to shit on this game with little to non experience in it.
Problem I think is people play TPP and finish the main the story but those same people aren't grinding to build up FOB's and going for 100% so when they play Survive they struggle to play a repetitive slow gameplay loop, most people are giving up before actually getting to the part of grinding for gear, they quit very quickly thinking it's just a fence and spear game.
Those same people praise TPP but they haven't seemed to have played after the story, because once you start playing to max 4 FOB'S, go for all S rank + staff and try to develop all weapons and items it very quickly turns into repeated grinding just like Survive.
Personally I haven't been playing Survive very long but I'm having fun so far, it's nice to play it in between grinding 100% and FOB's
@@Celric_Death I agree, the road to 100% in TPP is also extremely grindy and there's no way around it - even if you buy MB coins, you will have to repeat the same side ops over and over farming S rank guys, and FOBs for S+/S++ - if you play vanilla/on consoles that is.
In Survive you can easily get boosted by other player who are much higher lvl than you, and basically min-max the Hard & Extreme and Daily Missions. You get Epic gear real fast that way.
To be fair the grind was insane at release, but they dialed it back seeing that the playerbase was low, both with the daily/weekly rewards & the ability to dismantle Epic and Legendary gear to craft whatever you need.
Whatever platform you play on, hope you'll have fun dude! Steam still have a small but active playerbase with friendly people, check out the Metal Gear Survive steam group if you play on PC ;)

I played the shit out of Metal Gear Survive. I’ve completed more than 500 Salvage Missions with the Top 100 People back on Xbox One. Someone introduced me to the Resource Glitch where I myself Carry over 50,000 lbs of Resources that make Ammo, Fences, and Turrets and deposit it into the Workbench before the matches / Waves start. Then I immediately Quit the Game/Close The Game Application and go into Single Player to RE-DEPOSIT my own Resources into my Mother Base and then I rejoin my Friends again while still having all my Resources desposited into my Single Player Home Base & Duplicated into the Multiplayer Salvage Mission’s Crafting Bench. We really need all the Shotgun Bullets, Sniper Bullets, Fences and Gatling Turrets we can produce in order to beat the EXTREME Missions with ease.
I’ve already gotten all I could out of a Game like Metal Gear Survive and grinded over 400+ Purple Armor Cases and Golden Armor Cases. It was pretty awesome, not gonna lie. Last time I played it was in July 2019 and now in February 2022, I am slowly getting back into it again. I don’t know if I might continue doing Missions on Xbox One or restart all over on PS4 Survive. :)

Man I missed this game, I agree that the earth game is frustrating, but I killed the lord of the dust and have 3/4 of the battle dress armor (pre-return to playing) and today just upgraded my base, and gear.

4 MGS titles that Kojima worked on had zombies in them. MGS3 - The Sorrow sequence, MGS4 - The sequence where you drive on top of BMP and defend, MGS5 - enemy soldiers and even the MB soldiers were zombies after getting infected.

i love how they had to create a huge portal out of nowhere on top the old MSF mother base, in stead of just explaining how an experiment went wrong on the new DD mother base, while they were developing the black hole extraction kit you can unlock on MGSV
I got Xbox Game Pass for $1 and this was on it so I said screw it and decided to play, I honestly kinda like the game. Maybe it’s the fact that I went in with the expectation that it was going to be an absolutely terrible game, but the looting is kinda addicting and the combat feels real familiar since it’s just a MGSV reskin.
I’d never pay for it but it’s definitely something I don’t mind playing for a few hours despite its flaws.
The coop missions are actually kinda fun, but as you said, only really worth it when you have the game pass
I was gonna try it too with it being on gamepass but i pretty much play single player only, will i miss much by not playing coop?
Coop does give a lot of resources but is ridiculously hard when you first start, basically when you get green weapons is when you wanna try coop
It actually is fun when you play it for the game rather than the fact it's a Metal gear game

I liked the game, it satisfies my needs to scavage, build and survive, To me it was the best game i could have ever asked for and want to see if theres going to be a metal gear survive 2
I remember buying this when it first released and played it for ages. Only until recently I started playing it again and I feel SO lost.
Also does anyone still play anymore? I may be looking for lobbies at the worst times so far but I want to give it a real chance to finish it.

Any reviewer who doesn't mention Trackers and Mortars and how they dealt with those is a failure as a reviewer. Hit square on the craft menu to make large amounts of ammo in quick succession. Fence and poke becomes worthless against later enemies. Plenty of food options buff and grant abilities like stamina and health regen. This isn't Tactical esPiONagE ACtiOn!!!, it's survival.
I still play this every now and then on PS4. It's not the best, but if a Survive 2 was made, I'd buy it.

Dude is sitting there slamming the game because he doesnt like it. There are many mechanics in this game that are actually really great. The reason you run out of stamina while you crouch and crawl is because you make less noise. They make it so you have to pay attention and slow your gameplay down to not make it easy. Just because you’re not good at a game or it’s not one that you like personally does not make it a bad game. I would love to get a squad together and run some events and co-op.
