One of the reasons they have lasted so long is their ability to do this. Songs may have a different vibe when they cover for each other but they are still great. Must admit that it was a strange perk of their military service that we got to see other members shine when they covered for the missing members.
Yes it was amazing hearing a full album where the other members got to shine vocally!
I totally agrew..it's definitely 1 of s poaitive effects of enlistment.. d diff in vibe is hugely highlighted when it's yesung..eithr he covera or he's line ws covered..

I bet they are the most flexible KPOP group in the industry. Imagine changing lines, choreography and formation all the time like this and they still managed to do it for all these years.
Gosh, I miss Sungmin so much! Ryeowook sounds like an angel, as usual. And wow, Yesung at 6:33 is just ethereal. How I love it whenever he sings without/with minimal background music, it's just raw talent.

It's amazing how when Heechul covered in Walkin I preferred the way he sang it. Wish we saw him covering more, he's so capable.
And hearing Ryeowook covered for 3 people in Manila blew my mind, I hope I get to see clips too! 💙
Heechul is 1 great singer who eithr udrestimates his ability or jst doesn't want to recognize it & doesn't want to push thru.. Nvrtheless, he's amazing vocally + more..haha.. & I wanma sew & hear more of his aolo worka jn d future..
Wookie, I think is s membe that does a lot of covering even bdore & aftr enlistments.. he's tone, texture! & ramge is d most versatile to any type of song.. it's kind of neutral..hihi.. btw, I saw d prfoemances frm manila..there weee jst 2 akngs, ryt? kind of special ones to give to elfs to remember.. Ibh, I jat watched them once each coz it got me emotional..I think I'll reqatch when I'm rwadym.

They're so flexible as a group in a way that is incredibly impressive and unique. There aren't many groups that could swap lines like this. Also this is really making me miss Sungmin and his incredible voice! I hope he comes back soon!!! 😭😭😭

Yup, I think so too.. he improved a lot..but I must say, he had it in him frm d start..unlike some idols I've heard (not gonna mwntion).. he was more like a singer who had d potential but didn't had much time to hone & didn't really gave foxus to his vocals bfore debut resulting to b neevous & unsure when singing in his earlier yrs..

i dont need to compare but what i can say is this is one of the many reason they are a strong group! they are flexible at everything and their voices are for real and amazing!!! ALL of them are great singers =you can not exclude anyone. They may have diffent ways or style in singing but the come up is that they are all talented and great!!!

They are so incredibly flexible, so whilst they've had to cover for military/absent/past members, its allowed them to truely show off their range, add interesting renditions of fan favourites, and keep fans interested for 17+ years. They are so versitile, it would be hard to find another group with such endless talents! I bet it makes it more fun for them too!
