People say that but it's actually much easier to record with something like a phone mic, getting a good recording with a mic is much harder because you have to account for all the sounds being picked up properly, whereas with the phone mic the audio gets compressed and limited so hard that it just picks everything up as loud. There's a lot of wildcards that wouldn't sound half as good if they weren't recorded with a phone.

And I’d make that choice 1,000 times out if 1,000 times. Art is about personal connection and the feelings and enjoyment of experience it evokes.
