I'm in the middle of making a journal and made pockets for some of the pages but, didn't like how thin the paper is that I chose. I was going to scrap the idea and start another pocket idea. Now I don't have to scrap the pockets I have made already, I'm going to use your idea and sandwich the thin paper ones between the lam pouches. You saved me a whole lot of time making 18 new pockets. Ann, this is the perfect gift for my grandkids. They all like to read, aside from the youngest who is 2.5. Although I am sure he will follow in his brothers footsteps soon. They are always asking me to make them something, but at 2,5, & 6 it is hard to make something that will no break in a few hours. They will be thrilled. Thank you so much.

I just had to thank you again for this idea and the way to do it, I bought a GROSS amount of laminating paper for school several years ago and I've saved it thinking I could craft with it someway later on, it's too nice to just give or throw away...so, this really opened the door for me, 244 pages of FUN TO MAKE!! I'm glad you showed us this project, I'll be making birthday book marks this season!! woo hoo!!!

Really cute! I've been doing this to make shakers for the inside of my cards and found that if you cut the inside "card" just a bit short, you can run it right back through the laminator and seal it. Then you don't have to mess with the card over the top edge at the end.
You can seal the end with straighteners too, so you can actually see where you are sealing :)

Absolutely fantastic.. I’m making planner inserts ... going to do this for certain... just a thought to seal the top would hair straightners work .. on the laminate pouch ..

Love it!!! You can use the pouch adhesive if you plan it right to seal the shaker bits. Just use a hair straightener with parchment for heat.

I can imagine doing these personalized in a theme for a child’s bday party or as office gifts at the holidays etc. So clever and cute! I hope a novice like me can do it successfully cuz it’s quite fun looking. 🤞🙏
Of course it's awesome like you, but I really appreciate the tip on the thin card at the top to keep from hamming. I have ruined quite a few items because of that problem, fortunately they were just sample projects. Definitely will be making these.

Hi, decided to try my Sunbeam food vac just on seal and it worked beautifully for the top. Just make sure the pouch is longer than your paper if using.
