    Their Dance Practices are some of the best in the game. Highly reccommend watching. Their Choreography is so in sync.

    Their music videos in order:
    Tippy Toes > Mascara > Shooting Star > Left Right > GRL GVNG > TGIF > NEW DANCE > PUPPET SHOW > NEW DANCE > HESONOO x X-Gene > Winter Without You > WOKE UP > Something Aint Right
    aka. they have a music video for every song theyve released XD
    They have dance practices for all songs except for Woke Up, Winter Without You and Hesonoo x gene currently, a mix of both moving versions and static full shot versions🌟

    9:32 i do think it was the start of them finding their sound. This came out a few weeks after Shooting Star and they definitely started turning heads! It got really popular in Manila. I think it was the beginning of a new era for them (like to me Tippy Toes and Mascara seemed like a different group). AND THEN when they dropped GIRL GVNG!!!!!! That was when they started to cement their identity.
    Edit: i agree with the other comments tho! You cant really pin them down to one sound but youre both right that the charisma and swag stay constant!!

    Aw mah girls 🥰 Sound wise I think they're out to cover every genre 😂 looks wise, they've gotten older and change their looks all the time lol Maybe things seem so different because you're watching their mvs out of order? Idk but watching them in real time, I never thought twice about any changes but in any case, I adore them so much so thank you for taking the time to dive into them some more

  • @EXOluv98

    The only mvs left are the two versions of New Dance but it's up to you which one you want to watch, the grl gvng mv is just a short tease so I would recommend you maybe perhaps watch the dance practice after that one. I haven't seen XG dance practices get blocked yet. They have a dance practice for almost every song which is cool. Um, TGIF mv and dance practice are fun, Winter Without You is a Christmas song but it's great. Their live 'First Take' performance of it is really good. They have dance videos called 'Move' that aren't long at all that you could probably watch all of them in one video and it maybe reach ten minutes? There's also the "Tape" videos which I'm almost positive Simon will love because it's the rapline showcasing their stuff haha Oh and Maya and Cocona have a rap song called 'Show You Can' and it's so good. There's a lyric video for that one.

    Their "First Take" Performances of Shooting Star and Winter Without You are amazing. Not sure if UA-cam will allow it through, but I have seen other reactors react to them.

    Enjoy your reaction, thank you. Please react to Winter Without You MV and the Winter Without You the First Take version. if you can only react to one then I highly recommend the First Take version. Also, Hesono & X-Gene, thank you.

    Ya have to remember though that you've watched these videos out of order so some may have members more prominent than other times. So it may seem like some things or members have changed but their style looks wise change every comeback and like someone else said, you Simon mentioned himself that they're so versatile and I think that's why it seems like drastic changes but I promise, not that much. Just them getting older and becoming adults

    • @EXOluv98
      @EXOluv98 2 місяці тому

      I think maybe the word we're all trying to explain is that they have evolved but it wasn't blindly or drastic. Idk at this point I find myself rambling trying to explain XG to people because I don't know how to explain them properly to new fans. I wish I could speak coherently 😅

  • @OliviaXmasEve1224

    They're labeled as an R&B rap group but since they're also called Xpop, I think they don't want to stick to be labeled as one or the other. I don't think Left Right is before they found their sound, I just think XG are the type of group where there's gonna be something for everybody. You'll understand more when you hear GG, or TGIF or New Dance... they're all different lol
    I'm babbling but there's really no use in trying to pinpoint XG. I tried but gave up because I think their point is they don't want that. Thank you for your reaction 🙂

  • @Docavelli
    @Docavelli 2 місяці тому +3

    So many different vibes but the funny thing is you always say, "but it sounds like XG". Nothing they do sounds forced. You can see they really feel what they're doing.
    If you're looking for something new, you have to do the "Hesonoo/X-GENE" performance video. It's so good. Then they have a live version they did for the opening of their Japan showcase. I promise. You'll love it.
    Nice reaction ✌🏾

    No Shooting Star is when they started to find their style. For instance that's when they first really incorporated them being aliens from another planet and in the Left, Right music video they're on their own spaceship that kinda looks like a guitar from the outside.
    Tippy Toes was them warning people that would gonna wreck the game and outdo everyone else. Mascara is when they let people know that they weren't just another girl group. Then Shooting Star is when they reached an audience outside of Asia and heavily incorpated the themes of space and aliens. You can even see the masks that you later see in the Woke Up music video and its the one that Simon has on at the start of that video, whereas in the Shooting Star video the seven girls wear it early on the video
    Then Left, Right became their most popular song to date and it wrote history as it got in the US chart which never happened with another Japanese girl group and introduced them to more people who might not listen to stuff from Asia. Same way Woke Up later did when they gained a lot of new fans because a full rap song with an 808 drum beat from a seven member girl group that raps doubles and triples is something people hardly ever see or at all

    This was after the xypher, and Shooting Star which are the first two videos they reacted to and they've seen XG's debut mv so I'm really curious what Simon is comparing this mv to when he says they've changed. Is he comparing their sound to now? Think Left Right is on par with the other songs that came before this one like (Tippy Toes, Mascara, Shooting Star) and songs that came came after (like Puppet Show and New Dance) but all of their songs have a different spin I think if that makes sense. It's possible if they had watched the mvs in order then they would see a gradual evolution? Idk but I'm curious. Maybe we're the ones who didn't notice a big change? I wasn't surprised by Woke Up because of the xypher and the Tape vids. I hope it's not too long before their next XG reaction. Thanks for this one 🙂

    Watch their The F1rst Take performances of Winter Without You and Shooting Star. You guys won’t be disappointed.
    They are a global hip hop and R&B group but they touch every other genres

  • @MarkCalica
    @MarkCalica 2 місяці тому

    You guys should’ve started from the beginning. Tippy Toes, Mascara, Shooting Star, Left Right, Hesono O, X-Gene, GRL GVNG (girl gang), TGIF, New Dance, Puppet Show, Winter Without You, Woke Up to Something Ain’t Right. Their alien wolf lore started with Shooting Star. That’s them showing their home planet and trying to leave. Left Right is them on their spaceship traveling to earth. Hesono O and X-Gene is them evolving. GRL GVNG is them getting ready to land to earth so they are preparing themselves by mutating to something fierce. TGIF is them realizing to be themselves. New Dance is them just enjoying earth. Puppet Show was like a prologue on their home planet. You get the gist of it from there lol

    as always, another great react - one point, I think you are used to groups that are in one general area of music, but that’s not XG, they were not looking for a sound, one look at interviews with them, you will easily see their many musical inspirations, especially 90s girl groups / solo artist (TLC, Destiny’s Child, Spice Girls, Keyshia Cole, Lauryn Hill)if a company takes an uber talented and driven group and puts them in a box, they will never reach their full potential, Simon is not going to hold them down, these mvs are live from their New DNA showcase in Japan last year, you can also get from their channel, there is also a blueray, well worth it, it’s the full show
    hesoono / x-gene - you should also check ot the performance vid if you have not already done so, song with choreo, it’s not to be missed

      Too I think Simon, who was born in the US, was growing up during the 90s and must have been a huge fan of female artists/groups from that time and I think he had a vision from the beginning what kind of music he wanted when deciding to put a girl group together judging by how he conducted their training and the music they sang and danced to during their training. Weren't some eventual XG songs written while they were still trainees? I could have imagined that but I remember them practicing a few. Plus the music the girls themselves are fans of, to me it's clear that they all went into it knowing what kind of music they wanted to make and not being placed into one particular sound. Like I don't ever think there's going to be a song where someone can say "That sounds like an XG song" because they don't have a sound, they cover anything under the pop, r&b, and rap umbrella lol I think TGIF is really going to throw Simon and Kerry for a loop. Some people don't know how to take that song but for me, if you're in with the joke, it's really funny

      @@EXOluv98 I agree, you might not hear a song that sounds like XG, what you might is a group like One Or Eight, that reminds people of XG because of the attitude and confidence, several reactors mentioned that, not knowing they were from the same parent comany, Avex, for sure shooting star before debut - Simon worked with some top guys in ATL - ua-cam.com/video/QPPnsi4kvzI/v-deo.htmlsi=go6UT2W_eqXAsASU

      @amiga4everandever I think Mascara too? Not entirely positive. I agree about One or eight too. I discovered them on this channel and they reminded me of XG and I did some digging and saw they were considered XG's cousins then I thought "Yeah not surprised"
      Am a fan of both groups now. They should go on tour together

    That's not Kpop.
    Did you hear a single korean word in this song? 😇
    They told us numerous times they are not Kpop. Even their CEO created a new genre to label them: XPOP.
    It's time to stop labeling them Kpop because they're not like any other Kpop group.
    If they were Kpop they would've been more famous than BTS and Blackpink right now...
