To me I think when it is released it just needs to be massive. If it comes out and has a few house types, and a handful of customizations and Blizzard says "Oh we will add more down the line" then it will be a major flop. But if they come out the gate strong with the ability to put your house in basically any zone and pick from tons of house types and have a metric ton of customization options then I think it will be a huge hit. It basically needs to be Transmog 2.0 as I assume a vast majority of people don't care if there are going to be useful things like a crafting bench or auction house functionality in the house they just want to be able to customize it. I also think Blizzard would be mistaken to not reuse old assets for some easy wins. I personally love the aesthetic of Nighthold. How cool would it be to run it for a chance at some rare housing decoration drops based off the raid. Maybe have a tailoring recipe drop for a rug design that's already used somewhere in the raid. And they could do that for basically every area in the game. In the end as someone who already is a collecting addict in WoW this feature could be simply amazing if similar to Path of Exile Blizzard just goes for too much rather than play it safe.
I agree! I think Blizzard needs to come out of the gates really strong and provide a lot of features and customization for players in their houses. This is their chance to get it right and to give something to the community that they've wanted for years. Having the housing items be similar to transmog and reusing old assets will be massive. There are 20+ years of world of warcraft assets sitting there that can be used for player housing. That is also a good idea, having each profession make things for the house will add more depths to the professions and the housing mechanic. If they make something similar to PoE Hideouts that would be INSANE haha!
If it doesn't give any player power I can see a portion of the population not really caring about it, but if its Mog/Collection based then I can see that community really enjoying it!
What's on your player housing wish list?
Uuhh Michelle, my player housing wish list is you
@@buckbeak2417 I'll visit your house haha!
Being able to choose wall/floor/cieling styles, ambient sounds and music. I'm hoping I can make a Haunted Mansion for my Forsaken Warlock.
@@LordProteus That would be sick!! Changeable walls/floors/ceilings would be a good idea and will make themes a lot easier.
If it lets me build a huge castle like ESO, I'd go play WoW again.
Can’t wait to invite all my tortas to mi casa
