This draft by Team Spirit designed to play against Tiny is very similar to grand final game 5 against PSG LGD. I believe they gained their confidence about winning against PSG's invincible (until then) Tiny in this game.
@@OMGlvl86turtlepilot you know what would have been even a better attempt?not staying on the enemy highground under a ward while you are playing on the TI vs magnus with the excuse you are giving "vision". Getting baited to come out in vision because of a oobvious fake tp in the river. Sumail is a clown
obviously og ti9 would win but i do really like this spirit team they are genuinely more then just a miracle run kinda team there team fights are so coordinated and drafting is also solid
What do you ban then? His Mars is godly, Torontotokyo with a good matchup can dumpster the game, Yataro can play every hero so you can ignore him. The only thing moderately effective was banning Mira heroes, but TS adjusted and made that ineffective.
@@Oroquieta only one who came close to counter it were lgd with rubic. Honestly I have no idea how to overpick them, they have giant hero pools and don't depend on it. Collapse was i think a weak link with mars, magnus and tide being picked the most, but even wasting 4 bans on Collapse heroes didn't help Virtus Pro, he just played Doom.
Cannot believe Sumail standing invis on the high ground with no vision at 1:03:27 and it's not the first time he just stood on the high ground with no vision this tourney
That's one of the reason why I tend to idea that the whole event is kinda scripted. Too many obvious mistakes that even I don't make with my 4k mmr... Maybe not scripted, but fixing matches forced by bettings or agreement between teams (could me many reasons) to get some profit and keep the certain order of winners (thay can't win TI all the time). No one will be able to compromise Valve because players intentionally lost in order to make money and the organizers have no parts in this. Revealing the fact of fixing match means covering yourself with shame and nothing more. And especcially in OG case, loosing TI 10 doesn't meen to much, they already have done too much for fans winning two TIs in a row. So many questions...
@@aaddxxx1415 I agree with the part about more important or nefarious profits to be made elsewhere. Say for example there are 3:1 odds that OG wins. If OG bets just 7 million (this is just one fifth of the organization's tournament winnings in DotA 2, not to mention other revenue they earn) against themselves and lose then they are already making more than winning first place in TI. I made this point about SA teams throwing to make money off of betting against themselves and people threw me under the bus saying I was belittling the effort players make to get to a tier one tournament. But these pro players are smart people. It doesn't take much number crunching to realize that if you have 10 grand in savings, you aren't going to win the tier one tourney and all tier two tourneys have meager prize pools that it might be better to just bet against yourself and throw when you get into a tier one tourney
You guys believe that "everything/anything can happens in dota". But when your favorite player / team did something weird, you then said "maybe it was scripted" or blaming with other reason. Maybe sumail isn't your fav player, but "anything can happens in dota" right?. Just accept that he did make some mistake or "that just happened".
@@andreasalexander4551 You are absolutely right that the simpler explanation in this case is that he was providing vision for his team and did not expect there to be a sentry. However, I still think it is interesting and fun to speculate
@@hoyahimsa The problem is that they don't have that amount of money in cash. All this money is probably reinvested already. And nobody gonna lend you 7m$ without a clear reason to spend them on. And if you want to fix matches you can do it without losing. There are bets on the first blood, and many other things. I'm pretty sure that when a player goes solo on the enemy side bounty and feeds fb, or a team "forgets" the aegis in the pit, it's likely not accidental.
if you look at the first game stats, graphs and general match Magnus wasn't the real issue it was Ember. Hence why they banned ember in second game. The skewer / toss that turned game in favour of TS was in part due to bad positioning from Sumail and Ceb. Also Ceb mains magnus so the mentality was that they know how to play against it. The real issue in game 2 was NS pos 4, absolutely useless in fights with no damage. So Sumail was forced to fight earlier on with less farm to compensate and wasn't as huge as first game. So they lost team fights as it was 4v5 in game 2.
@@mothydududu I just dont understand why N0tail kept picking pos 5 NP. He did a good job scouting and applying pressure in the lanes but he had little impact in teamfight.

Either ban His magnus or his Mars. In the end his mid can play any hero and yatoro also can adjust any gameplay from support. This team was a miracle like how OG back in the days. They just have that magic to have everything, dedication, gameplay, skills, and luck.
The next round was pretty stacked, anyway. This game? I felt like OG tried their best especially Sumail and Saska but they got outdrafted hard. Pos 4&5 Dark Seer and NP against Ember?
@@korawitbuttramee618 Looked like they had the game with the High ground pushes, but Sumail didn't have enough respect for the Magnus combo and TS coordination. The first time he died top through aegis without getting a single attack off. Really though I'm now seeing that it's Spirits WW that they use as a counter to Tiny. It prevents the other team from committing heavily and allows their cores chances to escape. I remember watchng TorontoTokyo play months ago and thinking "man if its a heavy fighting meta they could win TI." The tournament meta fell right into their hands, mechanically they are simply superior to all other teams and the only ones who could outplay the Tiny raid boss comp.

However, it kinda bit OG in the ass when Sumail got singled out and the fact that he often positioned himself ahead of the rest of the team didn't help.
