I watched him live in Boston at his breaking out moment during the 2004 DNC. John Kerry was running for president, and I knew Kerry was going to lose to Bush, the country was still scarred from 9/11.
Anyways, after Obama's speech, I turned to a friend and said, that's our next Democratic President. And boy am I happy I was right.

I was watching this eulogy LIVE, and this part literally gave me goosebumps! I think the only president, thus far, who could ever pull off singing Amazing Grace is President Barack Obama! He did an 'amazing' job giving the eulogy and singing this song! He is also the closest thing this nation has had to a true father figure in a really long time.

Boy, do I miss him. I am just realizing how much we lost, and how full of hate and conspiracy theory the U.S. really is. It's not that you have to agree with everything he says and does, but he is a man who loves and has a core of integrity. His singing --- off key and startling as it was --- showed his emotion and faith. When you compare him with that unspeakable mess we have in the WH now, you see the difference between a quality person and the sneering, leering, lying, vengeful Trump.
