I would loved if you explain more about this perfume because it’s in my buying list , and not a lot people talk about only Emy talked briefly in xerjof video
Great video, Cherie! I was also supposed to be on a no buy for March. I ended up purchasing Creed Virgin Island Water. My justification is that it is perfect for this South Florida heat!🌴😊
One bottle per month! that's my rule for 2021! I got my self a Xerjoff too, on March: ivory route, and nothing else, only decants! I'm proud of my self! But yesterday, (April!) I bought Amber cologne by Bortnicoff. I say: nothing else for April....I hope I'll make it! Bye Cherie! enjoyed your video!
Wonderful!! Diva has been sitting in a basket in an open tab (there are a few...🤔🤦🏽♀️) for ages. Yesterday managed to buy two reissues of Patou fragrances which are supposed to be lovely- Persolaise said so! Loved your recent collabs too. Xx
You looked so guilty at the start the video I already knew where it was headed lolll....I couldn't restrain myself either, I picked up Dusita Erawan, Le Pavillon, Micallef Rose Extreme, Roja 51 essence, Ramon Monegal Entre Naranjos, Impossible Iris, Eloge du Vert (an unexpected green bell pepper love) and Guerlain aqua allegoria ginger piccante (Twilly ginger doesn't do it for me).
I find the dry down of sandalwood masculine on me but enjoy javanol, I find it sweeter and much creamier. Shunkoin is my favourite JTC fragrance I was much better behaved in March than the preceeding months only bought one, Ylang in gold. Enjoying your content ❤❤
Great story on that Serge Lutens, I do love those fragrance memories. I think you're doing well with the slow buy but it seemed like you were feeling a little disappointed with yourself, it's not easy so don't be hard on yourself, keep moving forward!😊
Well after buying 6 bottles in December, I was done. I've bought 1 bottle (LE of Madame Chouteau 2021) this year and 1 coming via a commission so far. I've sampled a few, nothing was a love, that equates to a no buy. There's a few on my list to buy, and there always will be. Hope you'll share what your plans are for the vintage Joy. ❤ H
I completely understand your Xerjoff purchase. I have tried a numerous in the store on Saturday and I am fighting myself not to purchase Ouverture and Alexandria II. I don't know for how long I'll be able to resist😁
your memory of NYC is interesting, pancakes and caramel, what part were you in?! haha! I love the city but I smell dust, smoke and much worse stuff! Envy your vintage Joy! 😜 I only have the new one and I do love it!
I do recall it also smelling a lot like bleach because when I was out and about early in the morning people would be washing the sidewalks out the front of their shops. For some reason I don’t recall thinking that it smelled that dirty although it must have! Strange how the memory works
I might need to go on a no buy for the winter months. I tend to favour smooth cold weather fragrances and have acquired a few so I shouldn't be adding more of the same scent profile to my wardrobe. Sampling is great to make informed purchases, but if i sample less I will have greater control of my spending
It’s really lovely I did not do it justice. Very comforting. I only just realised they don’t publish any notes so who knows what’s in it haha who cares though, it smells beautiful
My no buy has been a dismal failure but I have managed to stick to one in and one out. I sold or gave away a few blind buys that did not work out for me. My purchases for March were: Le Pavillon D’Or and Fleur De Lalita by Dusita and Manakara by Indult. I think I need to give up the pretence of a ‘no buy’ and maybe try for a ‘low buy’ few months 🥺🤑
@@TheTopNote I am getting a bit obsessive about Dusita fragrances, think I will have to purchase La Doucuer de Siam on payday. Say a little prayer for my low buy 🤦♀️
I have finally discovered that Sandalwood often smells sour to me - like pickles. Maybe I should get some oils as well to confirm that! Maybe it’s only certain types of Sandalwood that smell that way. I sadly have never experienced “creamy sandalwood”
'Im waiting for a blind buy of Salvatore Ferragamo 'Amo Ferragamo'. Its meant to smell like an orange creamsicle. Its coming into the summer in Ireland ( not that the sun shines much), and I kind of want to smell like orange and icecream! : )
2021 is supposed to be a low buy year for me and I've been doing fairly well. I've got all my perfumes boxed up and packed for a house move that hopefully will happen in the next couple months, but have left a few out to wear. I was SHOCKED at how many I had and I think that has helped with the low buy. 😂
It's kinda funny when you see brands have gone to the same bottle vendor... that Sandalwood Shop perfume looks identical to the bottles from Maison Violet! And Cherie, you're doing terrible at not buying, but whom am I to speak! 🌹
March was supposed to be a no buy month for me , so naturally I added 6 bottles. So then I said April will be and went to the Dior boutique and picked up 5 bottles 🤣 Ok so for the rest of the month I will not buy ... Into the fact I'll keep my resolutions 😩
Are you asking about Shunkoin? I live in a hot humid climate so it’s definitely an afternoon/evening or cold day scent. I don’t really think of it as sexy, more comforting and cozy.
I’m super excited to get my hands on Shunkoin. Your description of it fits my scent profile perfectly! Thanks for sharing💕
Yay! I love that it’s a really lovely powdery, woody vanilla that isn’t overly sweet. Ooh you might have inspired this evenings perfume! 😍
Really nice pick ups 👍❤️ I also just purchased Shunkoin, and it is quite beautiful
Camille and Chris are right! Gotta get on those vintages!
For sure! and I think the trick is to track down vintages that aren't the really popular ones :)
le participe passe.... burnt caramel.. yes ...
I’m glad you have shunkoin not a lot have it
I would loved if you explain more about this perfume because it’s in my buying list , and not a lot people talk about only Emy talked briefly in xerjof video
I love Diva and Joy! These are the kind of perfumes, I'll put when I feel self-confident, elegantly detached😃
I’m so happy it was brought to my attention :)
Diva classic diva pepite, diva rose are all my favorites they are always in my perfume collection
i am glad you got yourself Diva after my recommendation !!!! Greetings from Greece ❤️
Thank you it was a fabulous suggestion!! 💞
Fun video, vintage Joy swoon. I bought way too much in march... 😅
I buy way too much every month lol
Jean patou 1000 is my favorite
I like that one too ;)

Thanks! I’m aiming for April to be significant lighter. Well done on your restraint!
March i bought marc jacobs eau so decadent, ysl libre, swiss arabian shaghaf oud and sehr al sheila
You're so right about March being tough on no/low buy, I did a massive haul in March, but then April is my birthday so i'm justifying it! 🥰😜
Totally justified! Haha happy birthday month! 🥳

Oh nice! Would love to hear your thoughts on the Patou!
Some great catch! Joy & diva are just Divine❤️ ! Cheerio🍸🍸 & happy Easter too 🐇
They sure are! Hope you had a good Easter! 🐰
@@TheTopNote thanks a lot dear🙏 all is fine here 👍 cheerio🍸
@@TheTopNote PS have you tried sublime by Jean Patou? You might like it❤️
I need to put my nose again on Le participe passé, I think I enjoyed it. I really liked their last 2 releases.
I havent smelled the latest releases yet, still waiting for Serge to hit the shelves in Australia again. Hopefully soon! :)
@@TheTopNote Oh no 😥 They are beautiful florals ! I believe it's the same in UK :/

Thank you so much and well done on a successful March! I love that bottle 💞

I was a bit disappointed that it got so out of hand so quickly but I realise it’s a process. Thanks Marcus 💞
Same as you, I am on a no buy and March was a no buy fail for me 😬 I will do better in April and you will too 👍🏻🥰❤️❤️
Fingers crossed! Thanks for the vote of confidence haha!

I dunno I must have spent a lot of time indoors! Lol
I do recall it also smelling a lot like bleach because when I was out and about early in the morning people would be washing the sidewalks out the front of their shops. For some reason I don’t recall thinking that it smelled that dirty although it must have! Strange how the memory works

That’s true the more I sample, the more I want. I really need to work on the “I don’t have to own everything I love” sentiment
Ohhh I need to try Shunkoin by Xerjoff! Great haul!
It’s really lovely I did not do it justice. Very comforting. I only just realised they don’t publish any notes so who knows what’s in it haha who cares though, it smells beautiful
@@TheTopNote you made it sound beautiful :)
Shunkoin? I know of many many Xerjoffs from their giant collection, but I haven’t heard of this one!
My no buy has been a dismal failure but I have managed to stick to one in and one out. I sold or gave away a few blind buys that did not work out for me. @@TheTopNote I am getting a bit obsessive about Dusita fragrances, think I will have to purchase La Doucuer de Siam on payday. Say a little prayer for my low buy 🤦♀️
I’m getting ready for summer in Canada... I bought Coconut Fizz by Guerlain, Versence by Versace and Bronze Goddess Azur by Estée Lauder... 😊
Thanks for sharing!! Coconut fizz is one that really appealed to me when I smelled it :)
I have finally discovered that Sandalwood often smells sour to me - like pickles. Maybe I should get some oils as well to confirm that! Maybe it’s only certain types of Sandalwood that smell that way. I sadly have never experienced “creamy sandalwood”
Sandalwood is very strong and not necessarily present by it self but when it is blended with floral, amber, mask and oud it is tolerable
'Im waiting for a blind buy of Salvatore Ferragamo 'Amo Ferragamo'. Its meant to smell like an orange creamsicle. Its coming into the summer in Ireland ( not that the sun shines much), and I kind of want to smell like orange and icecream! : )
Haha sometimes I guess you just need to smell like a creamsicle 😂
2021 is supposed to be a low buy year for me and I've been doing fairly well. I've got all my perfumes boxed up and packed for a house move that hopefully will happen in the next couple months, but have left a few out to wear. Good luck with the house move!! I am facing a similar situation as well, so perhaps I should follow your lead and pack them up!
I have a decant of this Lutens, but for me the burnt caramel smells very close to burnt rubber, not a nice feeling 😔
Oh no! That’s definitely not pleasant. 😬
I heard a girl saying on youtube that Diva was mistaken for No5 by her coworker 🙂
I think I can see how that could happen 😉
It's kinda funny when you see brands have gone to the same bottle vendor... that Sandalwood Shop perfume looks identical to the bottles from Maison Violet! And Cherie, you're doing terrible at not buying, but whom am I to speak! 🌹
Haha I am indeed. Oh well, at least it is making me more conscious of the purchasing but it’s definitely a process 😁💕
March was supposed to be a no buy month for me , so naturally I added 6 bottles. So then I said April will be and went to the Dior boutique and picked up 5 bottles 🤣
Ok so for the rest of the month I will not buy ... Into the fact I'll keep my resolutions 😩
Lol Robert you always make me feel better haha
Do you think it’s more feminine, sexy for that day or night I would love know you’re opinion
Are you asking about Shunkoin? I live in a hot humid climate so it’s definitely an afternoon/evening or cold day scent. I don’t really think of it as sexy, more comforting and cozy.
Yes I’m asking for shunkoin, thanks I appreciate it
