okay i have to chime in here, but there is a old Danish folktale about that you can ask the echo in a specific place who your husband/wife will be, so you yell from the hill, and the echo should answer with a name. I love when stories sort of cross both cultural and country borders, even if they are ajusted.
Really enjoyed the Echo story, that was a great one. Things went from peaceful mysticism to chaotic in a blink of an eye. Though disappointed by packed food, not quite enough there for me to really grip onto the story. Couldn't really make any connections of any possibility of what was happening, or how any of the events had to do with each other.
“Are you okay?” she texted. “Bustah Wolf!” I replied. 😂 Sorry, I can’t help but think of Terry from King of Fighters when I hear that line in these stories.
The packed food story is intriguing. My speculations are that the packed food contains drugs and the Chinese food must have owed the Yakuza a lot of money and they are turned into human organ/s*x trafficking mules for the Yakuza. Op is just unlucky he/she was "picked" as the last customer. Also, the friend that offed himself is probably part of the Yakuza and is guilty that he indirectly put his own friend in a precarious situation.
Yukio story: I’m honestly surprised a teacher is willing to go the extra mile for that student. For me, I disliked several of my past teachers due to their crappy attitude. So, massive props to that teacher. Echo story: I tried googling the Echo festival in Japan, but nothing revelant came up so far. It would be nice to corroborate these stories to real location. Packed Food story: Too many variables and questions. I don’t think it’s supernatural at all. I’m getting a criminal organization vibe. Jinx story: I think the friend wanted a new boyfriend, but the ritual required a sacrifice a.k.a her ex boyfriend.
I was a mailman, and years ago I found one of my customers, a hired hand in a greenhouse establishment, standing out by the mailbox. We started talking, and I was struck by how odd his responses were. Once I actually asked him if things were OK - he responded emphatically "YES! Never Better!" - I was getting all kinds of odd vibes, and I stayed talking to him for quite a while but finally I had to go back to my route. I heard a few days later he killed himself. You always wonder what you could have done differently.
@@tvbopc5416Yeah, people bottle up their emotion until it explodes with dire consequences. I’ll say it again: Japan is a real country with real problems regardless of the supernatural and/or anime stories.
Anime pfp WEEB 😂 It's not just your teachers who are putoff by you, but the rest of the world too! And yeah that includes most Japanese people too because they aren't anime obsessed. So yeah your teachers' responses to you are 100% normal and justified 🙊
The friend probably wanted a new boyfriend due to relationship problems. That’s why she was willing to perform the ritual. But she didn’t realize there is a price. That’s my guess.
I believe that the ex-friend desired someone other than her then-current boyfriend, and so she may have sacrificed him to the ritual (possibly by actually killing him) to get her way.
Tbh the twist at the end of the yukio story kinda ruined it, it didn’t add much to the story The echo story was really good! The delivery story was kinda weird…. Just like the jinx story
nice story, but those "know it all" characters are so annoying. First of, she ruinned a tradition for no reason. Secondly she is way too calm, and for me not knowing the character too long, it just feels off.

Kowabana should be named “Kowabana, One of the Best Ways to Start the Weekend”. ❤🎉
The Echo and Packed Food stories really got my attention: What on Earth were those creatures, and what happened regarding the Chinese food place??
I’m guessing yokai for the Echo story, and criminals in the Packed Food story. 🤷♂️
This was a great set of stories! I love the ambiguity of each ending. Really good selections, Tara!
Kowabana Friday❤
Thanks Tara😊
the packed food story is very confusing...the word 'why' keeps going through my head.
My favourite out of this bunch is "Packed Food". It's a bit confusing but still very interesting.
“Are you okay?” she texted.
“Bustah Wolf!” I replied. 😂

Yukio went to the shadow realms
Thanks Tara!!!
Such a good episode! Thanks!
Glad i'm still up. TGIF, Kowabana Friday. ❤
Ok but for the second story: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOUR SISTER
Awesome thanks Tara 🙂
I love this eps ✨
Thanks for an other episode!

You are the best
The packed food story is a bit confusing
Why this podcast not working on Spotify.
It's working perfectly fine on Spotify here.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I thought it was about Mishima!
The last story is confusing to me. How did the boyfriend even get involved?

I wish I was bewilderingly cursed 😌
I wish I was bewildering cursed in the way Tevye asked god to smite him.
yukio feels l kwne it before,or a similar story

:O
Misogyny = 👎
That packed food story was absolutely trash.
