whenever you see a fighter get that close to the cage immediately while circling around over and and over before any strikes are even thrown, it's cuz they know they're in trouble. good counter strikers will use that strategy, but they don't get that close to the cage unless they have to, and they don't keep circling like that for no reason. they'll circle slowly and speed up if there's a strike being thrown. this guy thinks he was playing it safe, but he was doing the opposite. someone like johnny walker does his best work from a distance. he's tall af with a huge reach and can close the gap instantly. i'm suprised this guy didn't get a flying knee to the face. bad game plan

What you said for the most part here is absolutely true and interesting at the same time.
Now to the time stoppage, that was just a horrible time stoppage. Right when the fight was about to get interesting and was about to get started the ref jumped in. Yes Santos face planted into the ground and Walker was the reason for that but he wasn't out cold as we all could see.
And about Walker he made the fight interesting from the beginning by being the aggressor while Santos was mostly just backing away, I understand Santos is trying to counter fight but that's not the way to do it, if Walker wasn't quick enough and athletic enough to getting to him, Santos probably would have ran away the whole fight but that was a nice leg grab by Santos and then he tried to make something happened from there by countering but ended up face planting because of one of Walker's strikes but he wasn't out cold.
The ref stopped the fight just because he face planted, the ref should let the fight go on a few more seconds after that.
@@bolo5190 oh yeah that was definitely a bad stoppage. it looked like he might have tripped or something, although it also looked like he went stiff too it was weird
@@comet206 Rigt exactly, he was stiff on the way down to the ground which made the ref think he was out but Santos hitting the floor woke him up it seemed. It was a weird incident for sure.

Same tactic how Walker KO Paul Craig. He throws a telegraph leg kick and once the opponent grabs the leg, he lands that vicious right punch to their face.

I never seen this before. He was scared to fight. Hes a 9/7 professional mixed martial artist. He did not want to be there.

What was Santos waiting on? The end of the round. Combat sports never said circling the outermost part of the cage without engaging is bad ass. Throw something. A tooth. Your mouthpiece. Something !!!
Good decision from the ref. Very professional. The loser was doing a belly flap with zero reaction to defend himself.
