You're right about the longer tail on vintage tops. I bought a bunch of repop vonDutch wool jackets years ago and the cut on those is mid thigh. Just cause it's cut long doesn't necessarily make it vintage if it's a faithful reproduction. The reason that Roth top was so high...not a repop and a one off done by him at car shows.
