Told you right, this guy is worthed to be collected. And with compactbility with HWS he is absolute beast of fire power. And on top of it, it worry not about back heavy and can't stand on his own or funnel become saggy overtime 😎 The only minus is.... It price was f*cking high. The feels of RG unicorn Perfectibility once again rise when this kit out. Not having it feels doesn't right but the price... Damn! 🗿
NGL, the RG nu-ff looks stunning, not to mention all those leftover parts included. Are those dark leftover armor parts the same color/shade of navy blue as that in the normal RG Nu?
if I remember correctly you only use black parts for the backpack, so you have almost an entire black runner as a leftover. and of course you have leftovers of navy blue parts, which are replaced here with a lighter shade of blue
IIRC I only used the ones for the leg and shield. They're a bit tough to coordinate, especially when the one for the leg is split, but they turned out fine in the end. Just apply some mark setter when you're done
Thanks Bandai, but I’ll gladly buy the standalone Effect wings funnel instead, which is not only considerably cheaper, but it comes in standard nu gundam colors, which Bandai doesn’t even offer.
Unfortunately, the kit doesn't include the all-important Advanced MS Joints for the funnels, so it's a resounding no. I wish I could've had a set of fin funnels from all that junk..
I will add, that you can build the original fin funnel wing, IF you have RG Hi-Nu and for some reason you don't need it's funnels. but you will need to do some painting, because the inner side of Hi-Nu's funnels is white.
@@mj2005gundam what a waste we'll I guess it is good that I wait for this review almost bought this at secondhand market(expensive🤣) thinking that it came complete with original fin funnel 👍
Ok first really great review MJ as always but i see dust on your kits its too much initially. Any way what are the 3rd party add-ons and can we use HWS add ons on this kit
I really got to constantly remind myself to dust my kits off before recording... I demonstrated the HWS add-on in the video, but the one third-party add-on I would absolutely recommend is that DDB Corgi beam effect, if you could find it, or a seller that ships outside Asia. Just fills in for that feeling of a missing beam blade to depict the large beam saber mode of the LRFF
I mean, they could've easily gated that away as they did with the Double Fin Funnel set, except the other way round. But no, you pay for those leftovers that are tantalizingly close to a full set of fin funnels, just missing that all-important MS Joint Frame
@@mj2005gundam It really bugs me when they do that... Several times i've bought kits that have tons of junk parts. The TR-6 Haze'N-Thley-II-Rah has so many that i had to put them in their own sandwich bag.
This is a question that I always ask when dealing with Real Grade Gunplas, and I'll ask it here, too. Is it sturdy enough for play? Or is it only good for display due to too many flimsy parts?
I do really consider getting this kit, but dunno if it's worth it since it's the same price as the MG Virtue in my area. Also seems like if one wants the "full package" of this kit they'd have to buy the Sazabi FF for the beam effect. Out of the two kits, which would you get between the Sazabi FF and the Nu FF?
Hi just wanted to ask if you bought a metal frame for rg nu? will the excess parts be able to complete a new gundam. Because as i am looking at the excess parts in the video it looks like you wont ve avke to build a head?
Nice review. I just have a question about his neck. It seems to me his head position look too tall when attach to the neck. Such problem not happen in my original RG nu-gundam and it seems no issue in your video too. I really dunno which area I did wrong when attaching the head and I found some ppl in other model forum also have such issue. Do you have any suggestion or hint? I found that some ppl tackle it by buying HG neck part which tailor for another gundam model. Thanks.
I think the best way to fix it is to assemble the neck again. No better way to fix an assembly issue other than disassemble it and find out what went wrong
@@mj2005gundam Thanks. I tried disassemble few times before. Since the neck assembly only compose of two parts thus I can’t figure out what’s wrong here. Then I research via internet and found some posts and YT vids about the neck issue. However, the way they fix all involve parts out of this model box thus I just wonder if there is any other ways.
I used the water decals that could replace the decal stickers. Though I didn't use all of them since some of the emblems have other texts attached to them
This uses the exact inner frame from the RG Nu Gundam, so it should work if what you mean is replacing the inner frame with metal parts made for the RG Nu
I hope you can answer this What if I buy the third party metal frame for the RG Nu will the excess parts armor fit to it and build a brand new Nu Gundam? As for the fin funnels.maybe the excess from my Hi Nu fits the ms joint that's a lot of extra part and I don't want to buy another Nu 😅
You'll need another face as well, so while you can basically buy a frame and install all the armor on, you're still going to be missing a face. As for the funnels, you do what you can with acquiring their pre-molded frame pieces
Maybe the face from my Eg Nu will suffice and for the fin funnel the ms joint leftovers from my hi nu maybe will do the job and thanks if the metal frame will be used for the excess armor parts
Yes you can slap on the standard Fin Funnels like you would the Double Fin Funnel Type, but you don't get all the parts from this kit to make its own set because it lacked the internal frame pieces
The FF version comes with the cannon, but you have no frame parts to build the set of fin funnels, so you don't have enough for the standard ones in the kit

Can’t wait till someone crams more firepower by that I mean 6 regular Fin Funnels a Bazooka,HWS system, and beam saber holster on BOTH arms. And also the Hyper Mega Bazooka launcher because you want to solo Neo Zeon on the back of the Nu Gundam
It's perhaps your eyes playing tricks. Yes the front helmet is different to accommodate the different v-fin and head crest, but it's generally identical to the old one
Hi I’m still pretty new to gunpla industry. So this kit is a limited edition kit? Do you think it’s gonna be very hard to find later? I found it in my local gunpla store it’s just sitting there on the shelf nobody pick it up. They’re pricing at US $100. I know jap price was only 5000 yen. Would you recommend to pick it up if one can afford it? Thank you for your video.
$100 USD is a lot for an RG, but then again it's a Side-F limited. I'd say if you really like the Nu ff and are looking for the full play package (third-party beam and action base not included), then I'd say go for it. However, it might be a little much to tackle for a beginner, so I would say to get a few more builds under your belt and work your way up.

I would gauge that about 10% of that price is in the leftovers, but it's still bloody expensive.
This design grew on me, seeing as how that Large Fin Funnel looks more stable than the regular Fin Funnel wing.
More stable, and more fun. I couldn't get enough of that auto-morphing gimmick
Man, this is real grade of dream
Would've been, had it not been so exclusive
Thankfully I pre-ordered this on PBandai in December, this reaffirms my purchase!
I'm so glad I picked this up. It is beautiful beyond recognition
Once the effort is put in, it's just astounding to look at
Shoulder mounted cannons go unbelievably hard, no exception
Hand-free weapons are always my preference for some reason
Nice review! I ordered this long time ago on PBandai, will be delivered on March. I also have delpi holo decal for it, can’t wait!
Damn, holographic decals for that Amuro logo would look sick!
Amazing video! I was so confused about the amount of left over parts and this helped clear it up!
I'm glad you found it helpful. It took me way too long to set those shots up from how many leftovers there were
can the extra parts still form the regular fin funnels?
@@providence6452 no. You are missing the internal frame pieces of the funnels
So all I would need to build the original fin funnels is the b-runner ms joint? Are the parts for the inner part of the funnels included?
No, the joints for the Fin Funnels aren't included in there, and yes that is all you need in order to make use of the leftover parts

It's an action base by DDB Corgi
