I was travelling along a busy street, i had this number from a distance, it forced me to stop the person it was singing on her car and ask for the title, it was a nice day,the number clinched allmmy worries.
This is Soeto in the Tres Fache collection. Amazing artistry by TP OK Jazz!!
Joseph like My name, what a great move, entertainment, rest in peace, this is enough a great legend.
J'apprécie beaucoup la chorale
Legends on the stage
Humm j pense encore a ma jeunesse..pendant mes vacances a Madimba..
TP OK JAZZ was a college of musicians
It was a cradle of sebene & rhumba music
Looking at this great song and thinking of all those greats. Josky, Madilu, Ndombe and Lola Checain at the vocals.
Simaro, Gerry, Gege, Mpudi playing guitars and noticing that they are all dead. Life is short. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
It's rare to find two rhythm guitarists Simaro Massiya and Gege Mangaya in the same guitar lineup. In this live performance of the song SOETO (not Soweto), Gerry Dialungana (solo), Thierry Mantuika (mi-solo), Simaro Massiya (rhythm) & Flavien Makabi (bass). Gege Mangaya is not taking part. It's worth noting that among the above-mentioned guitarists, only Flavien Makabi is still alive
Amen
Aaà😊😊😊😊
😭😭😭
A great all round lineup with most of TP OK JAZZ greats participating

Josky deserved to be Francos deputy president if elections were to be held within ok jazz .he was the leading vocalist all the time
He had a good position if i remember very well
Le Poete Lutumba Ndomanueno aka Simaro Massiya composed most of the TP OK Jazz songs and was a worthy and loyal vice president to Le Grande Maitre Franco
@kenyanguy1 please transalate this song for us thx

I can't see Franco there but I can see some one playing in his position...who is this guy
That's Thierry Mantuika Kobi playing the mi-solo guitar in the absence of Franco
Song is called SOETO. Nothing to do with South-Africa Soweto.
Mercy aboubacar siddikh..asante sn Mola akubarik sana
Executed almost to perfection by a slightly different lineup from the studio version team. In the vocals, Ndombe and Lola have fitted in well for Kiwakana and Ntal with Simaro standing in for Makosso Kindudi
What's the meaning of SOETO?
@@godsanointed3397 I think it was a name. Josky assured me it had nothing to do with South Africa/Soweto though, which I must admit had been my own assumption too, before I interviewed him in 1991.
@@AboubacarSiddikh noted
Who was playing guitar along side Gerry Dialungana
Tshery Mantwika un ancien de Thuzaina
Thierry Mantuika (mi-solo), Simaro (rhythm) & Flavien Makabi (bass)
Ou` sont ils pour l'instant? Fuck'in disabled. En voulant trop gagner, on s'engoufre. T,as vu ou' tu es? Qui se`me le vent re'colte la tempe^te. Sorry
